I’ve never heard of glue pulls, I’m old…I do have a slide hammer to pull dents out but I think this is the way to go for garage doors. Thanks for sharing!

It was new for us too! I had fun with this one. I have never used a glue pull on a garage door either up until this point, I’ve done several since then, though it is pretty tough on the results are never great, but it’s better than having a big dent!

@@Petersondent yes it is! My first long dent repair was on my first car, a five year old Camaro back in 1976. I learned how to bondo over the phone (landlines and toll calls back then). Your trade sure has come a long way!

I think this is a really novel approach to repair the dent. Only problem is for a lot of us we don't have the appropriate tools. But awesome job! I have the exact same garage door with a major dent. Would be informative and greatly appreciated if you could list the items you used for doing the repair as I am not familiar with PDR in general. Thank you!

The key way to remove this dent is to put a track iron or something very dense steel and flat on the outside and pound from the inside. Just for the record this is absolutely not an aluminum door it is steel very thin steel so pounding it out with a rubber mallet from the inside or a plastic mallet and steel mail it on the seams to get the contours corrected

It's not a solid piece and the inside panel is not connected to the outside panel.

Garage doors are galvanized steel and the paint is baked on at the factory so it’s very strong paint

lay it on grass and beat it with wood block and sledge hammer fixed in 5 minutes and 2x4 is used to get all 90 degrees straight

This was in unusual circumstance repairing my uncles garage door that he backed into, are used my glue pulling system from the outside since obviously it’s got a space in between the inside panel in the outside panel. Didn’t come out perfect but he was ecstatic that it looked better than It did

If there’s an actual hole, you might have to replace it or there’s a chance you could use Bondo if you have paint to repaint the door that is

basically, you would want to look up painless, dent repair glue pulling. The top company in the biz is called. Keco . there's also a bunch of different companies that make the glue. I think on this job I used a glue called tab weld.

i'm not :) our siding is faded and the insurance company paid for the one damaged side. would cost a lot to replace all the siding. I was hoping it could be repaired. someone mentioned PDR, so off to youtube I went to see if someone did it. maybe i'll post my own video, and buy a PDR kit.

Ivan Fedyshyn good question, unfortunately no I looked behind it it's a double sealed in peace with a foam insert I would have to take the entire door apart there was no way to get behind the other side had to be glue pulled. Thanks so much for watching.

Thank you, tenants just moved out......... and of course a huge tent in the garage door, ( looks punched ) but they say....... OH wow, never noticed that. A new door will cost 1,100 the door still functions so was hoping I could fix the dent, for less. Tenants are paying for the repair OR a door, so they should come thank YOU. Do you know how to fix a hole in oak wood, haha... (looks like another punch)
