I love the F50 so much! It's an absolute masterpiece and it has always been one of my most favorite Ferraris of all-time. It's just so beautiful and amazing.
For me, F50 > F40. N/A engine, V12, high revving makes it sound so good. I also prefer the shape of f50. If I can own 1 Ferrari, this will be the one.❤

Now that I listen to it closely, a certain note of the F50's engine sound, especially from the cockpit/interior, sounds very similar to the engine sound effect used for the Ferrari F50 in Need For Speed II. They really did a good job. And great video by the way. I hope to get more Best Motoring videos from the 90s and early 2000s to have English subtitles.

Perhaps 130R in 4th gear? Corner exit could be wider and earlier on the throttle as rpm would be lower. What a great video!

According to translation it was not ideal conditions for a hot lap, maybe 4 or 5 laps in, or under better conditions, that would have been the case, but pushing as hard as he did in a thoroughbred non TC beast, on road tires, for a 1st hot lap,.. that is very impressive, hats off sir.
why he push the brakes pedal in the straight line ?

Heat the discs before brakes and ensure the pads engage the discs.

That would be great for everyone. I can't/won't do a full translation, but basically Gan San is very impressed with the car after his initial short shakedown test, which was his first time in the car, and he wasn't going hard. He then does a hot lap, although he's upset because it started raining on the track and he can't drive on the full limit. After the hot lap he commented about how the suspension setup wasn't ideal for the track (too soft) but could probably be set up better with suspension adjustments. He loved the flat torque of the engine and commented how easy to drive/control it was. He wished for semi-slick tires, not road tires. He mentioned many more details but that's some of it at least. Anyway, he says, he had a great time and said that he's confident the car can lap Suzuka 5 seconds faster under better conditions, etc. Hope this helps.

Suzuka was faster when Carrera GT set time. Notice the final chicane and 130R corner being slower here. Plus track was much smoother when CGT set time. Anyways F50 had a time of 2:26 on nearly same layout as CGT when tested in 2000, though it had Tubi exhaust.

That 1.2 seconds could’ve been down entirely to the compound of the tires
And he says the suspension is too soft for the circuit, it can probably go 5 seconds quicker. But it’s a privately owned car so they’re not tuning the car and he’s careful not to cause unnecessary wear.
