Everyone is saying you look healthier, and you do but you still look really sick Elzani 😿 you need to keep fighting! No food is too much for your body because it is healing from years of malnutrition. When ever you say "I really want to have X but can't or should just wait" it breaks my heart 💔 if you want 2 bagels 2 with PB and one with biscoff and one with nutella, then have it! That is what recovery is! Recovery isn't getting the perfect picture of ypur food to post on instagram, or forcing yourself to have certain foods at certain times, or trying to make the perfect image of recovery, THAT IS NOT RECOVERY! IT IS STILL YOUR ED! Recovery=FREEDOM! Even you said Elzani, "if it DOESN'T challenge you, it WON'T CHANGE you." I know you hear it all the time, but, KEEP. FIGHTING. 💪🏻🥰

DIY Stuff thank you for saying this- I was reading the other well meaning comments of some of the other viewers and I was just thinking how Elzani's eating disorder brain could twist it around to think she doesn't need to keep on recovering- when she really does need to! I just watched a video that explains why you (recovering anorexics) get so anxious and upset if a meal or food wasnt perfect or something was off and you have a meltdown..(like sometimes if something isnt as good as you'd hoped you get emotional and cry ). Its because all the years restricting food, when you would allow yourself to eat it was special event because it was more rare to eat so the food, planning, environment had to be just right or perfect or it felt like a waste of a moment if that makes sense !
@LolaBathory4 жыл бұрын

I know that i have to recover and i also wanna recover... but it is so hard. I never was ,,fat'', but i always was on the chubbier side. I lost a lot of weight and i'm still on a healthy weight, which is good, but i can't handle the fact that i will gain a lot of the weight i lost back and i'll get very chubby again. I know it doesn't really matter, because everybody is beautiful the way they are, but i am so self critical and i never liked the way i look... i'm freaking out recovery is so hard. Elzani, you are doing so well and you're such an inspiration to me. Every video helps me to recognize more how urgently i have to recover. Thanks for that. I love you (Sorry for my bad english xd)

You dont need to be underweight to recover chicky x the thing with the disorder is that you wont stop at any particular weight, the thoughts wont stop when you look 'thin'- they just keep going and you end up dying. My favourite quote is that 'your body is your home and you only get one' so make sure you looks after it- you obviously recognise that your thoughts and habits are not your own and they are part of the disorder. Your body knows what it is doing, I know it might feel like you will not stop eating once you start and that you will just grow and grow and grow, just remember what everyone else does- they all eat and they dont keep growing, they find their equilibrium. I hope you find the strength to recover because it is so worth it, you are worth it xx

Hey Elzani! Thank you for posting regular videos of the real life, struggle of an ED. I would like to congratulate you in your positive attitude, your fights, your constant challenge and for been such an amazing inspiration! I think that you are doing the best recovering phase. Your mental thinking is so powerful and you offer so much motivation to yourself and others! I also would like to say that you really look way much better (happier...) and are so much aware of the ED which is what has given you the tools to fight this ED and will lead to you success! I really like when you say that we need to be grateful and that we need to thanks our body! Please, make me a favour: do not ever harm yourself and listen to this bad voice anymore! You are a wonderful person and deserve more than nothing to live a beautiful life! Additionally, I would like to warn as many people as possible about the risk of osteoporosis. The longer we stay underweight and without period, the worse the bone density will be. Do not wait until it is too late please! You won't be able to go back! The bones are affected by the ED. And it will be difficult on a daily basis for many many years! I am now constantly worried to break anything... Take care! Marion PS: and no worries about your "weird video"! It was not weird at all but very good and describing perfectly what I have in my thoughts but cannot put words on it!. So Thanks a lot.

I’ve never had an eating disorder, but I think maybe celebrating when you go up a size or gain a stone would help. Like when you go up a size then have a party, do something you love, but yourself something you really want! Try to train your mind to think of gaining as a positive, happy experience! Your so open, and wise. I love your channel!

The worst thing for me when I was very underweight in my late teens, was when I started to gain and my periods returned, I found my periods the worst part of recovering from being at a very low weight. I've always had problems with that due to gynaecological issues so I found the return of periods really traumatic and difficult to cope with. I apologize if that's TMI for people but let's be honest periods are part of being female like it or not, and I don't think any female would say they love having a period!
