There actually was a "That '80s Show," the same network, the same executive producers, who tried to capitalize off of the popularity of That '70s Show. As you might figure, That '80s Show was a ratings flop.

Jagged Little Pill is the album this is off of and no cap, it’s one of the best albums ever recorded. I highly recommend listening to it in its entirety. In my top 10 of all time for sure!

The Dave Coulier thing is an urban legend that he started because he thought it was funny. Apparently five other guys did, too. Poor Alanis to have dated that many jerks. I agree with you that Jagged Little Pill is pretty amazing.

"Ironic" makes me cry. Many years ago my Dad's company sent a lot of Cali employees back east for some class. He hated flying and opted out at the last minute. The return flight crashed and no one survived. The next day at school a classmate of mine and her younger sister were both absent. Their father worked for the same company. 😭😭😭

@@corylyonsmusic He is one of the guys it is about, but once on a radio interview after he heard it he said "The song is about me" and people thought it was the whole song. The time period it was written about is when she had to keep moving from one city to another and the bad endings that left with some of the men she was seeing at the time. Think 4 or 5 Taylor Swift Albums but all bottled up in one Album.

You should try Jewel, “Who Will Save Your Soul?” Another great 90s female singer. She grew up in the woods of Alaska, sang yodeling with her dad, trained in classical opera, then lived in her car as she played various clubs in CA. Her debut album “Pieces of You” blew everyone away. ❤️

That wasn't her first album. She had released 2 albums prior to JLP that were very dance/pop albums that were successful in Canada. When JLP was released, the record company pretended that her first 2 albums didn't exist because the styles were so different. Search for "Alanis Too Hot" and "Alanis Feel Your Love" on KZbin and you'll hear a very different sounding Alanis (she used just her first name on those 2 albums).

Love Alanis. Madonna was super smart to sign her. This is from the album that broke Whitney Houston's record for the best selling debut album by a female in music history. Whitney held that record for 13 yrs. Well done Alanis!!!
