Funny you say that - The Crow character (in the comic) was visually influenced by Robert Smith of The Cure. The director of the movie asked to use their song Hanging Garden in the movie, which was referenced in the comic. But they said they would write a new song for it. The song Burn is on the Crow soundtrack (Burn is a great song to react to btw - the live in Glastonbury 2019 version rips).

I actually saw The Cure in San Diego last year! I can only tell you they’re absolutely amazing and one of the best live performance bands still in concert. 👍

The song is about an eternal optimist being in love with an eternal pessimist. By all means check out The Cure's new album that just came out on the first of November. I recommend "A Fragile Thing" or "I Can Never Say Good Bye".

Do more of the Cure. This song is not one of their hits so I would expect that you would receive the amount of comments and views desired. They’ve played for decades and have had many great songs and albums. The Disintegration album is one of the top 100 best albums ever by all artists which is quite an accomplishment. In a live performance of the song “prayers for rain” from that album lead singer Robert Smith manages to belt a note for so long that it is amazing. 18 seconds or so. Thus, check out more of their performances especially live ones where they thrive.

Wow you are stepping up with music quality. Kuddos to you man. No it's not EMO. That didn't even exist when most of their stuff came out. The cure are their own genre completely. You could say they are a mix of New wave, Post punk, Goth and Rock. Maybe also something else in there too. It's deep poetry with killer bass lines and awesome drumm and guitar sounds. They made some incredible music. But it's necessary to know the songs, because their catalogue is huge. Most people will unfortunately recommend you their 3 - 4 lamest songs, because those are the ones that most people are familiar with 😆

Cure has some amazing songs and another band you have to check out is The Violent Femmes…great alternative 80’s music from the Midwest…. Check out Blister in the Sun 😂

Bloodflowers is a great song/CD, but not where to begin with The Cure. Hot Hot Hot is a good one to start with, or Love Song. One of my favorites is From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea. They have a TON of good songs. Pictures of You...Fascination Street...a lot of good stuff.

The Head on the door is their 7th album (well 6 since Japanese Whisper is not really considered like an album). The first album has a indie/punk vibe but it's Three imaginary boys
