@@tonychristensen6714 if you have never done them I’d start with light weight and shoot for -4 sets at least 15-20 reps get a feel for the motion. A lot of the time people got shoulder tweaks and that’s okay just go super light weight 15-30 lbs and let it stretch eventually you will get better ROM and find the angle that best allows you to contract your chest and stretch it

Monday is chest day... it’s because everybody in teen years starts with the bench press, it’s the most comfortable(mentally) for everyone who is starting out, people usually start training at beginning of the week so thus every trains chest because they began with chest for confidence, hence Monday chestday for the majority

Many don't realize, you don't purposely stop 2 reps lower, when you bench properly (shoulder blades pulled back with proper muscle contraction on the chest, don't go too fast, and do NOT let the bar touch your chest.... to avoid losing tension if it touches) Do this with 1.5-2 mins MAX rest between sets and you'll lose 2 reps with every set! My chest workouts when I was a trainer went this exact way. Id start at 12, then it would naturally go to 10, 8, 6, and sometimes I'd do a 5th one and pushing out 4 would be grueling (5 if I had a spotter) If you rest more than 1.5-2 mins, it won't work the same way and even though you'll recoup more strength, your muscles will also be more recouperated and you want to break down the fibers. Basically, great blueprint, just do the exercises in different ways every few weeks (barbell vs dumbbells, Cables vs dumbbells, ect ect) and once a month reverse the order to where you do your compound (heavy) lift at the very end.... Do that for ALL muscle groups atleast once per month and the power lift will annihilate the already fatigued muscles. it's called a "Pre-Fatigue" workout when you do it in reverse.

I don’t understand the disparaging comments here on the size of his head. This guy is nearly 6’3” tall and has very broad shoulders, even for that height, and consequently a very broad chest, too. Relative to the lines of his torso and his massive chest and shoulder muscles, of course his head is proportionately smaller than what you would see on an average 5’9” man with standard shoulder width and modest musculature. That is not a drawback; it is a positive feature. One of the main points of male physique modeling is to display what in academic figure drawing are known as “heroic” proportions, with tall stature, unusually large shoulder- and chest-to-waist ratios and a relatively small head-to-shoulder-width ratio. Numerous preference studies have shown that most people, men and women alike, recognize heroic male proportions as an indicator of athletic prowess and find them aesthetically superior to normal proportions. I suspect most people would find such physiques, even with fairly light muscle development, aesthetically superior to small-framed bodybuilders with heavy muscle development. (On small-framed bodybuilders, the bulging muscles often appear bunched and crammed together, yielding a less-than-ideal look.) Two shots in this video show the proportions of this guy’s skeletal endowment particularly well. At 5:46, we see that his arms hang far from his waist, and that the span from one shoulder to the other equates to an amazing 4 head widths, far greater than the normal 2.5 - 3. Of course, he has augmented his skeletal structure by developing massive shoulder muscles to achieve even greater shoulder breadth along with impressive muscle size and shape. Next, look at 1:47, where his lats flare as he pulls on the bar and sits up. The lines of the lats in this shot help to draw out the incredible shoulder-to-waist ratio. These wide V-shaped lines are what all physique models aspire to, though most simply do not have the bone structure necessary to achieve it to this extent, no matter how well they develop their lats, delts and other muscles. In my view, the main purpose of gifted physique models and bodybuilders is to inspire the rest of us with the highest ends of physical human potential that can be achieved through dedicated training, and this guy is doing that extraordinarily well. He possesses a vanishingly rare combination of physical gifts, each of them rare on their own: towering stature, broad shoulders and chest, tremendous muscular potential, near-perfect bilateral symmetry, even skin tone, strikingly handsome looks. His pecs have low sternal origins, adding to the enormous expanse of the muscles, much like Arnold's. And he has done great work to make the most of his gifts by building his muscles to the extent that he has, which takes tremendous discipline with workouts and diet. His head is not too small. It is exactly the right size for the heroic image he is striving to project. I seriously doubt this guy has ever been turned down for a date because of his head size! I hope he continues to develop. Those who appreciate physical development will all certainly cheer him on. Fully utilizing one's natural abilities and attributes to achieve greatness in anything -- art, music, mathematics, football, and yes, bodybuilding -- is a noble endeavor and most people who understand what they're seeing love to see the gifted excel to their fullest potential and love to see or hear the astonishing, seemingly superhuman things they do. Like most tall bodybuilders, Cavagnola needs to focus on building his arms (particularly the triceps) and legs (not just because the limbs are long, but also because his huge upper body needs visual counterbalance in his lower body) to bring them into greater harmony with the rest of his physique. He may not yet realize it, but he can grow his arms and legs considerably. Adding some size to his upper traps would also be an improvement. His enormous pecs, which are both expansive and thick, threaten to visually overwhelm all the other muscles of his upper body, so growing his traps a bit would help to counterbalance his chest. And don't forget regular abdominal vacuums to keep the transverse abdominus strong, which will prevent the accursed "bubble gut." At this stage, however, he is already incredibly inspiring for guys like me who don’t have anything close to his gifts, but want to do the best with what we have been given. To Alessandro and Fit Media Channel both: keep up the great work!!!

@@sd851 I'm having a hard time thinking charitably about your snide remark, but I'll try to write something helpful here. So what if he's not natural? Nobody in the IFBB is. Arnold wasn't. If Cavagnola wants to progress in professional bodybuilding, he will have to play on the same field as the rest. Everybody -- aspiring pros and informed fans alike -- knows this. Those of us with merely normal or substandard genetics for bodybuilding who look to pros like Cavagnola for inspiration understand that we will never look remotely as impressive as him, no matter how well we train and irrespective of whether we remain natural or not. So why do we pay any heed to such superior models? For one thing, we greatly enjoy seeing very gifted individuals reach their full potential and do great things. And they inspire us precisely because their achievements are unattainable to us. We reach for a higher bar than we can likely grasp, not a lower one, lest we fall short of our own potential. If I were a music composer, my most inspiring role models would be giants like Palestrina, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Duke Ellington, maybe Hans Zimmer. Not whoever composed for the Spice Girls. And you know what? If a pill had existed that doubled one's musical comprehension and Beethoven had taken it and written works that made his 5th symphony or 14th piano sonata seem like trite jingles, I would listen avidly to those stupendous works and he would still be among my greatest artistic heroes. With his incredibly rare genetic endowment and his obvious dedication to training, Cavagnola would have a spectacular, world-class physique, utterly unattainable to the likes of you and me, whether he was natural or not. If you re-read my first comment, you'll see that it focuses mainly on his skeletal proportions and other raw attributes, like his native muscular potential and symmetry. Everything I wrote in that comment would stand whether he was natural or not. Everything. I'm not advocating an unnatural route for amateurs, by the way. There's no need for it if your livelihood doesn't depend on it. Most men with average muscular potential can naturally develop very large muscles with the right training and diet, to the point that it would be obvious, even when they were fully clothed, that they had well-developed muscles. That's for those with average native muscularity. Those with better-than-average muscle potential can attain extraordinary muscle size entirely naturally. If you don't believe that and you don't believe that competitive natural bodybuilders are truly natural, take a look at some Olympic-level male gymnasts. They train for a combination of functional muscular strength and muscle endurance, but not excessive muscle mass, because mass adds undesirable body weight. And yet they have very impressive physiques; some even look like competitive natural bodybuilders. But if some amateur bodybuilder wants to go beyond natural, within safe limits, just to see what it does, why would anyone care?
