Hi Wesley, thanks for the good job you do and the passion you share with us. Could you tell us what is your calorie calculator with an eventual link please?
@alpha29576 жыл бұрын
You said that you have digestive issue when consuming lactose. May I suggest taking Digestive Enzyme (Veganzyme from Global Healing Center), Probiotics (Complete Probiotic Platinum from 1 MD), and Betaine HCL 648 mg with 150 mg of Pepsin (NOW Brand). The reason why I'm suggesting this is because I had a really bad issue with digestion. I couldn't even eat a couple of bites of food and my stomach would feel like I ate a whole horse! My gut would actually feel so bloated. It was so bad that I actually went to see a Gastroenterology and they scoped my stomach, etc. and found nothing. In addition, I had ultrasound done in my abdominal region, x-ray, and other tests. All tests showed normal. However, I still couldn't eat and it scared the hell out of me, and I was losing weight! So, after doing some research, I started taking those 3-supplements I listed and Viola! It worked. So, I'm again able to eat with confidence and NO MORE Gut issue! So, give this a try! And as they say Sharing is Caring! By the way, Probiotics should be taken daily for healthy Gut!

What do you think about taking probiotics, digestive enzymes, and omega3 6 9 for better absorption of protein and better energy managements. Cause alot of bodybuilders forget about the gut health that can promote protein synthesis and fat loss plus stops the bloat
@VintageGenetics8 жыл бұрын
+djsubliminalreeve Omega 3-6-9 (balanced out though) are very good. I really recommend taking those dialy, doesn't have to high dose, just make sure to take in enough. And when there's a lot of protein in my diet (300+g) I tend to eat pineaple which contains the enzyme bromain that pre-digests protein better. You're absolutely right that gut health is an issue and it's all in the food. Everybody is different so it's hard to give one solid advice, but probiotics, digestive enzymes and the omega's certainly play their role in optimizing it.
@djsubliminalreeve8 жыл бұрын

@VintageGenetics8 жыл бұрын
+Alex Ferenc Thanks! Muscle cells are comprised of muscle protein but also of fats. All the outer membranes of every cell consists of fat (lipids) so if you think about it, if you don't consume enough fat, you don't build an optimal amount of muscle. But more importantly, I like that I feel energized all day long. If I eat too many carbs, my insuline levels aren't as stable (fat helps stabilize insuline due to slower absorption) and it would cause more spikes and drops. I used to get headaches eating too many carbs. And besides, I love eating fatty food! So there's lots of benefits to it for me personally.

+XenoChrist93 It's healthier (using the right fat sources) keeps you full for longer and promotes better muscle growth and a better pump in the gym. It's also a great base for your fat-soluble vitamins and certain hormones.

Hi Wes, I noticed you use myfitnesspal as well. Been tracking my macro's & calories for two weeks now and basicly my diet is pretty much the same as yours, but with fewer calories I guess. Been wondering how long it would take to see some results in body composition and general look.
@VintageGenetics8 жыл бұрын
Goed Engels bro :P It depends on your lifestyle as well. If you incorporate cardio post-workout and workout 5+ times a week you should be seeing the results quite soon, especially when you're cutting. Lean bulking always takes a little longer but if you take a picture now and compare it to how you look a few months from now you should definitely see the difference.
@fitoverfifty53498 жыл бұрын
Thnx for the comment, Wes. Will have to be patient a little longer ;-)

1. where in holland i can buy this spirulina burger? 2.do u eat only fish no beef/chicken etc? what u think about heavy metals like mercury contain in fish?
@VintageGenetics8 жыл бұрын
+Gracx x I bought the spirulina burger at Jumbo. I only eat fish indeed, but lean beef, chicken and turkey would be great meat options too. And only big fish (like fresh tuna, big salmon, etc) contain the most mercury and heavy metals, simply because of the fact they accumulated it from living a longer life. Usually the canned tuna are smaller tuna.

@VintageGenetics8 жыл бұрын
+Jordon B Oh I put it there manually! But a long time ago I calculated my BMR once with the Harris&Benedict formula and then added an activity factor of 1.55 which resulted in about 3500 back then. Eedam Andru That is a myth. The upper body doesn't get bigger by the lower body getting bigger. I was in a similar situation to you, all you need to do is train legs with less volume compared to the other body parts. An example is, 6 sets for legs instead of 12 sets.

A protein shake before working out is enough usually if you really want to train on an empty stomach. The amino acids will keep you from using muscle protein. Take that 45 min before working out and the pre-workout 30-45 min before working out.
