Check out the course at this link: bit.ly/2RARWGE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Below is a "copy & paste" of text from responses Dr. Shostek has given to other viewers who've written that they're having some type of digestive issue taking the Garden of Life Grow Bone System (or any other calcium product): (1) You may have difficulty digesting calcium. Your symptoms MAY include any of the following: abdominal distress, loose stool, discomfort, bloating, nausea, etc. One issue with causing these symptoms is not having enough stomach acid. To fix this, Dr. Shostek suggested taking a digestive enzyme which has HCl. She explains, "The absorption of calcium is influenced by conditions within the lumen of the small intestine. The acid secretion from the stomach converts the calcium to a salt, which is absorbed primarily in the duodenum. Unabsorbed calcium is precipitated in the ileum and is excreted in the feces." Below is a link to an article about it: "Hypochlorhydric stomach: a risk condition for calcium malabsorption and osteoporosis?" - pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19958055/ Dr. Shostek recommends taking Enzymix-Pro which is an enzyme that contains HCl. She says if you would like access to order this, let her know and she will send you a link with discounts. Dr. Shostek's website: www.mynaturalhealthcenter.com/ (2) Garden of Life products contain a lot of dried food, and some people are allergic to some of the foods in their products. If the solution for #1 above doesn't work with the particular enzyme Dr. Shostek suggested, her second option is to take half of the calcium in the Garden of Life Grow Bone System (in the brown bottle). So you would take 1 in the morning and 1 at lunch. (3) If you still can't "stomach" the Garden of Life Grow Bone System after trying #1 and #2 above: In my first osteoporosis video where I interviewed Dr. Shostek, I mentioned Dr. Jorge Flechas and his videos describing how he reversed his wife's osteoporosis and his own osteopenia using higher dosages of boron. I had become very discouraged because I have been plant-based eating for almost 20 years and discovered recently that I have severe osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, collagenous colitis, and cataracts. For someone who has exercised regularly and eaten healthy for many years it was completely unexpected. My doctors say that a large part of my issues are because of hereditary and genetic components. I have also been taking D3, magnesium, and K2 along with a healthy protein supplement and green drink every day. You have encouraged me to add a variety of exercises I had not been aware of, as well as to give up my morning cup of coffee. Is green tea okay? Thank you so much for all you do to help women. I will be 68 in February.

Interesting. The doctors I follow don't point to anything hereditary nor genetic. Some of my viewers have been working with Dr. Shostek to identify the source of their bone loss and they're having success. She looks at various body components (bloodwork, other tests, etc.) to identify the root cause(s). I can tell you for cataracts, they don't know why some people get them and some don't. I didn't stress out about it when I had them. Just had the surgery/procedure to correct it. Meanwhile, there are all sorts of reasons that our bodies lose too much bone or aren't building up new bone properly. Most doctors don't take the time to identify it (and most don't know how). We discussed what it's like to work with Dr. Shostek in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYq2dmRombWMars Please check it out. This other video is long - kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJ_QoHyre8SsrpI - but in its Description Box I've listed and linked to many of the doctors I follow. They are all whole plant food diet people. And all incredibly healthy.

@@gloryb-tv thank you! I will check out everything you suggest. I should have been more specific and said that my high blood pressure and heart disease are the ones that are from a genetic/hereditary component. Both of my parents suffered from these issues. My mother had osteoporosis as well, as does my sister. I am not as concerned with how I got them as how to correct them! I will continue to learn from you! Thank you!

Great information, thank you. I have osteopenia and have not been taking any extra calcium because I eat lots of vegetables (paleo diet). And I had a cardio scan that showed I have moderate calcium deposits. Do you know of a bone boost supplement that has strontium citrate and boron without extra calcium? Thank you for this information ... and for mentioning Grassroots. They're the best in tracking testing twice a year and what to do with your test results.

Hi Glory, I have followed your recommendation and have been taking garden of life for over 1 year. my next bone density test is end of this year, I can not wait and very nervous for the result. Past couple of months my dr thinks that my vitamin D was too high (60ng/ml, I think is perfect) she wants it to be 40ng/ml because of my 24 urine calcium test was too high (350mg) that I am losing calcium. There are lot of information saying that I should stop all calcium supplement 48 hrs before the urine test and my dr said I should not be stopping my calcium supplement . Maybe I should start taking 2 caps of calcium and 1 strontium at night as you mention on your video. I know, you are not a medical dr, just want to ask if you have any sound advice. Thank you
@gloryb-tvАй бұрын
You have several things going on, as well as your doctor not identifying the root cause(s) of a urine calcium test being off and/or the reasons your body is losing bone density (which c/b just regular aging and nothing to be concerned about, or could be concerning - and if it is concerning - then what is the root cause(s) of your body losing bone density?) Your doctor doesn't know much about vitamin D (which most MDs don't). Grassroots Health has outlined and provided loads of information and studies about vitamin D. Doctors must avail themselves of updated information. Most don't have the time to look. My suggestion is for you to consult with Dr. Shostek. She has been doing a great job with many of my viewers at identifying root causes, connecting the dots, and making excellent recommendations per the patient's needs, requirements, etc. We discussed what it's like to work with her and how much it costs in this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYq2dmRombWMars Others charge a lot more money, such as Doug Lucas, who - when he still posted his price on his website - was charging $12,799 to work with a patient directly for one year. Dr. Shostek charges a small fraction of that.

Thanks for all the info. Whenever I take vitamin D3, I end up with bone pain and heartburn. Most current was when I took between 10, 20,000 iu per week between January to March 2024. I started having bone pain and heartburn, which turned into acid reflux. I have stopped taking it from April 2024, but I still have the acid reflux (never had it before, I get it only with Vitamin D). I am not able to take any medicines for it as they don't agree with me. I get it from the sun but I have hypothyroid because of which my D3 is always low. Taking big doses will bring it up a bit, but it bring a host of other unpleasant side effects which linger on and cause other health issues. Has anyone tried Vitamin D lamp? Is it safe to use long term?

@@gloryb-tv aerobic step is a kind of aerobic workout with a step, going up and down from it with loud music. I was thinking it is a good exercise for bones as you go up and down from this step (I like it even if you need a good sense of coordination). First time I have watched your channel. I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for all of this valuable information. I too am 64 and in great health. However, I do have advanced osteoporosis in a couple of areas. I am petite and fit. I have not yet shrunk. I feel great and wouldn’t have known I have osteo but the test for it shows that I do! I was diagnosed with it 10 yrs ago and chose not to take meds then but now that I am 64 , and it has gotten worse I am feeling that I need to be more open minded about medication. Endo is recommending Fosomax. I do all the right things for fighting osteo, with the exception of consuming a lot of coffee. I hate the idea of taking the Fosomax.
