When I try to swing your way I feel that the turn is deeper and to get the rhythm I tend to bend the lead arm at the top of the backswing. Conventional teaching emphasises lead straightness but with your system bent lead arm at the top shouldn’t matter as long as you create the right extension through the ball. Is this a correct reading of your approach?

Yes - and also notice that I'm only significantly bent with my training aid - the PRO. Because the shaft is a rope it requires accommodations to learn the physics. But you are right, as long as your arms and the club are riding the inertial flow caused from rotation - it will automatically fully extend! So in short, I don't advocate a massively bent left arm, but it is possible you could swing really well from that position! Thanks!

Dan >>>path is KING and Club face is Queen! The reason they don't get it back on line is because they don't have the Path correctly, so here is what you teach them

Would this type of swing be considered a single plane swing?
@danmartingolf Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! This might not be the answer you are looking for, but here goes! Technically speaking, there is no "swing plane". It is a concept that most instruction uses on DTL video as a guideline for a "sound" swing. The clubhead descends and extends on a trajectory away from the line of gravity simultaneously due to gravity + the rotational inertia of your entire body. In most cases, when these two inertial energies are paired together, the golf club appears to "swing" on a "plane," especially in the late downswing area. So it is a useful checkpoint on video to see if you need to make some adjustments in your motion. But the clubhead isn't swinging, it's extending with rotational inertia and falling with gravity at the exact same time. This is why keeping the PRO in a straight line is so important as a learning cue - it bends when you are not allowing your motion to simultaneously fall and extend to the ball!

Jeseas we got the bad swings spend more time showing the correct swing with the same passion Stuff your Storax top of the spine is fine Thanks

You spend 90% of the time explaining what not to do. And you just spend 20% of that time so me how to do it correctly. I would understand this so much better
