+Serpico's Beard It bored the hell out of me to be honest. I don't see the attraction of this game at all. And London (which I actually live in) is barely there. No real world locations and having to actually follow traffic rules makes it totally unfun for me.

It is not the objective for the most part, but there are sections where you HAVE to attack people. I strictly remember toy soldiers that shoot at you and you have to hide in a cup. I would say 1/3 of the game is violent, but it is cartoon violence.

There is a game for Steam and PS4 called The Talos Principle that would have definitely fit this video topic. It's a first person puzzle game from Croteam that has been compared to Portal. However, it has a more serious and philosophical story about what makes one human and if what makes one human can be replicated by an AI in androids after we all go extinct. Definitely worth looking into, although it is much tougher than Portal.

Playing LittleBigPlanet online was probably one of my top 5 gaming experiences from the past 35 years of gaming. I'm may have just been lucky, but it seemed like most people I joined up with were really cool and friendly gamers. Something I've rarely experienced with consistency on most other games. There were so many moments when other gamers would wait up for the others and actually work together as a team. It was really great to be a part of that.

Can't wait to see games like God of War, Mortal Kombat, Madworld, the new Splatterhouse, and the entire library of Suda 51 on next week's episode. For minimal violence, I do think Harvest Moon deserves a mention. I love the N64 one. Also, the de Blob games, which I think are really cool. The only games I can think of for now with little to no violence is Disney's Tarzan, Tomba and Tomba 2: The Swine Returns from the PSOne era. There are some inherently non-violent genres, such as puzzle games (Puyo Puyo, Bust a Move, Baku Baku), minigame collections (Wario Ware, Rub Rabbits, Hot Pixel, Frobisher Says), puzzle platformers (Metrics, Ivy the Kiwi, Lost Vikings, Shifting World, Nightsky), and some racers (Choro Q, Race the Sun). And don't forget all the modern Indies games like Hohokum, Entwined, Unfinished Swan, etc. And Loco Roco is great.

Max and The Curse of Brotherhood and Tearaway (and to a lesser extent the PS4 conversion/remake Tearaway: Unfolded) are two somewhat recent nonviolent games I'd recommend. I'd recommend the original Vita version over the PS4 version, just for the better implementation of controls.

I really wanted Portal to shift gears at the end of the game and have you solving real world problems with portals. like, for instance, OH NO THERE'S A FIRE! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PUT IT OUT!? Well, you could open a fire hydrant at the beginning of the level and then shoot a portal at the ground and another portal above the fire. That sort of thing. Unfortunately, the game winds up being so strict in it's problem solving, especially in Portal 2, that freeform real-world problem solving would never work.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the themes that you come up with. I like the humor in Portal. One of the reasons I kept playing that game. I love Crazy Taxi. When it was in our local arcade I played the cabinet over there while I have the game on DreamCast.

I think fishing games are the least violent games you can play. I usually just dump vodka in the lake and the fish float to the top drunk off their asses.

some other great games with minimal violence are: flicky for genesis, boxyboy for turbographix, nights for saturn, super monkey ball for gamecube, marble madness for nes, sega swirl and chu chu rocket for dreamcast, etc.

I was actually fascinated with the idea of LocoRoco when I first saw it in a local shop on a demo stand and this was one of the first games I got for my PSP. I still think it's awesome.

I like the esoteric nature of this week's episode. I think if anything this one proves that the 'Sack is at it's best when it's doing something both Joe and Dave are enjoying and have some interest in doing; I didn't care much for last week's Wrestling episode as Joe obviously didn't want to do it (the amount of stuff he didn't know about the N64 WWF games such as how the modes worked or controls showed it was something he was doing under duress). The great thing about Game Sack is the genuine passion they have about talking about games - whether they like them or not - so when they devise a topic/theme they like, even a strange one like this, it will always be much better than something they are doing for the sake of the audience and it also means they cover games which you never see any other channels talking about. TL;DR - Game Sack is at its best when doing what it wants and ideas like "Good Games with Minimal Violence" is what makes Game Sack my favourite youtube gaming channel.

Locoroco would be perfect for the Vita. HD graphics (especially on the original OLED screen), tilt controls and tap to break/join the Locoroco. I originally bought it on UMD back on the day and then rebought it on PSN just so I can hear them go RRRRROOOOYYYY all the time.

+b3ans4eva Yeah it's such a good series I'm surprised Sony hasn't made a version for the PSVita. I did download Midnight Carnival on Vita and it's fun but I would love a new game made special for the handheld.

A Story About My Uncle was a fun exploration/puzzle game with, if I'm remembering correctly, zero violence and a cool story. I got it for a couple bucks on sale and ended up liking it way more than I expected. Another game in the vein of portal is Quantum Conundrum. A physics based puzzle game with no violence and filled with cool concepts. It was made by someone who worked on Portal so you know it's good, and it really is.

Little Big Planet 3 was very challenging. You really should try it. It took me awhile to beat it. They added things to the game play that made it way harder. BTW that song at 20:58 is called Atlas by the group Battles and the lyrics aren't what you thought. Whats funny is when I first heard that song I was thinking the exact same thing too lol.
