Gordon handled it well. the more traumatic the event the more you'll remember and avoid the same mistake. the girl who's injured is already traumatized so Gordon instinctively comforts her instead. You also need to work on your spelling; there are two 'l's, there isn't a 't' in 'much', 'goddess' has two 'd's, and there is no 'n' in 'operate'.

For anyone wondering what happened, I looked it up and Heather went to grab duck sauce that was scalding hot and she spilled some on her hand, which gave her a second degree burn. That was what Gordon was saying to throw out, since food should not be *that* hot. Aftermath (edit: AKA, SPOILERS): With her hand under water, she still yelled out directions to her teammates before being taken to the ER out of caution. She returned later that day, was commended for her teamwork, and red team won the service. Likely because of Gordon's quick and calm reaction, her hand (though still injured) healed a tremendous amount overnight. She later went on to win the season :)

I wouldn't say he's calm, that's a unique level of anger that mainly parents reach. He was blinking with momentum in his speech. He was REALLY trying not to explode due to a potential collateral that is intact the victim next to him.

The others were boneheads. When something serious goes down, you pay attention and immediately dial in. They were hesitant, blabbering fools that you can’t afford to have in that situation. Stop what you’re doing and pay attention.

I've noticed a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago that Gordon is way more nicer and more gentle with kids(obviously) and younger cooks. Its nice to see, every time Gordon goes into 'Dad mode', its always so wholesome to see.

He’s harsh on the people who deserve it I think. It’s good he only wants to nurture and be a good teacher to budding chefs. I’ll never forget seeing what he did for Christine Ha, he was so kind to her, and she deserved nothing less.

funny thing is the only reason he yells at all is when chefs mess up something elementary. when they reach the level of skill needed to compete on his show, they should know better.

And I mean in a busy kitchen, yelling/raising your decibels is practically a must to communicate over the fire, steam, and clattering utensils/cookware. Yelling is just performing a function of the job at that point lol.
