Gorilla With an Injured Leg Gets Angry at Her Son | The Shabani Group

Nene has been limping for several days.
I do not know if it is a sprain or a separation of the right leg and what the cause is.
The hamstring muscle mass in her leg seems to be slightly less than before, but she seems to have no problem walking.
She also has a good appetite.
Now, after breakfast this day, her son Kiyomasa was accompanying her.
I thought the good time would pass as it did, but before lunch, Kiyomasa got hungry and started to get excited, pushing Nene away.
Meanwhile, Shabani, the silverback, was taking care of Nene.
He always returns indoors before Nene, but on this day he was following Nene back indoors.
I hope Nene will get better soon.

Poor Nene she still has this sore leg.What is being done about it maybe she needs an xray or ultrsound to see what is wrong or maybe something in her diet.She shouldn't be climbing and being picked at she should be in a separate room to rest so she doesn't get worse trying to get away from them all the time.This will be her decline to her end,I just hope she isn't in too much pain.

If they were to put her in her own room by herself, she would likely die. Gorillas don't deal with separation very well. It's possible that this is from age and there is nothing they can do. Im sure they have looked at her and are doing all they can for her.

Much of this is normal for her age. Nene has lived a grand life. She knows her limits.

Shabani was so vigilant today!! He loves and cares for nene so much. I wish she offered him more respect whenever kiyo acts out.

水曜日のときに飼育員さんに聞いたら、土曜日の朝に怪我をしたとか。なぜ、こうなったかは、まだ確認は出来ていないけど、高齢のため麻酔をかけて調べる方がリスク大と😞 昨日、そこまで引きずって歩いてはいなかったけど、シャバーニが押したりしてたので心配です💦 アニーは相変わらず、ネネさんにちょっかい。 飼育員さんに注意されてました😅

@7:54 I interpreted Shabani pushing Nene indoors, his way of keeping an eye on her safety...I saw that act as impressive. Ai, didn't want to get involved. I guess no matter how much a gorilla mom loves and holds her son up to the highest degree like Nene did with Kiyo, from when he was a child to now, the present... blackbacks seem to mess with their mothers ...it's part of the growing up to a Silverback process.
