Hey Decker, you forgot to mention the characters watching Scream 2 on TV. While in itself ok - this creates a universe shattering paradoxon as the Halloween series - in particular the first movie - is heavily referenced in Scream. So how is it possible that in a movie (Scream 1), Halloween is referenced as a movie, thus work of fiction, while in H20 a sequel to the original Halloween, Scream is considered a work of fiction, referencing a work of fiction that is reality in this (H20) universe. Now my head hurts

@@mikegodoy6288 They started shooting the movie with a slightly different design for the mask. It was the same basic design, but was more of a pure paper-white color and had an ever-so-slightly different sculpt for the face. The producers decided they didn't like the look of the mask, so they forced the director to use a different mask for the remainder of the shoot. He also had to reshoot several scenes with the new mask. However, they didn't have time to reshoot that particular scene due to time constraints. So for that one scene, they had to use CGI to cover up the old mask. If you look up the trailer for the film, you can see the original mask design in several shots. I personally like the original mask design, but I can kinda see why some people wouldn't.

This movie had a great deal of hype when it came out because of Jamie Lee Curtis was coming back, at the time her career was on a up swing than there was Hartnett and Williams who were big at the time. Williams had been on Dawson's Creek and later found her place in Indie movies. Hartnett hasn't been in much in some time and Curtis is doing commercials for yogurt.

Curtis got hit with the same 'got old, need roles' button as Sigourney Weaver, who similarly doesn't do a ton these days or doesn't get offered a lot. Which is a shame. That said, she's done TV lately (Scream Queens) and is doing the new Halloween, which looks to take her intensity in the last quarter of this film and apply it to a whole movie.

Rushy Disappointing isn't it? The shitty sequels sure, but considering how much Decker bashed the classic first Halloween, which was heavily inspired by Hitchcock, as "slow and boring", I wonder if he'll be bashing the classic original Psycho as well. You did not make a comment about two of the characters watching _Scream 2_ on their television set when the first _Halloween_ appeared in the first _Scream_ .
