100 pumps = 1000psi doesn't work because it's not linear. The higher the tank pressure the less each pump adds.

Great video the .25 Gauntlet has turned this Springer into a PCP shooter and the price is just right to start out with .
@stevejenkins99845 жыл бұрын
I love my Gauntlet 22 it is a tack driver and still produces 27 FPE with jsb 18 grain. However this 25 Cal is a winner in my book! I feel to 3200 PSI and get a full three mags plus a little before I fall off the Reg. After 27 shots at full power my 28th I start noticing a drop off. I'm around 1150 FT elevation above sea level and with the air Venturi G7 pump about a hundred and 25 pumps from 2,000 brings me back up to 3200psi. Although at 3300 PSI fill I noticed my first few shots are around 20 FPS slower but no valve lock! Love these guns! Trying mine this yr at aoa field target.

From 2000 PSI to 3000 psi with a cheap eBay hand pump takes me about 65 to 70 pumps if you can't do this maybe you should try some exercise first
@AirGunWeb5 жыл бұрын
Dont know what excercise would have to do with the number of pumps needed to put 1000 psi in... Its dependent on how much air the pump pushes with each pump not my strength! You sound like you dont understand how air pumps work. Come over I'll arm wrestle you anyway!

Did I miss the answer to one of your viewers questions below re: HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO HAND PUMP the Gauntlet .25 with a hand pump (325 strokes)? From your video it appears it took you over 1 hour to hand pump the Gauntlet .25 - especially with the break you took (it looks very tiring on your hands and legs). So, how long did it take you to fill the Gauntlet .25 with air using the hand pump? **I'm strictly a break barrel air gunner, but thinking of buying my first PCP rifle. So, I'd like to know how long (time) it takes to fill a PCP rifle by hand.

Great video informative.There so many reviews online its mind boggling.Good value for someone who doesn't what to shell out hundreds or thousands on a PCP. Ive read the bolt can be a bit clunky and the trigger needs fine tuning? But for 300.00 you get what you pay for.
@AirGunWeb5 жыл бұрын
The bolt is somewhat stiff. I would not call it clunky tho. Also the triger is super easy to adjust. Even expencive rifles need the trigger adjusted offen times.

How much time did you spend pumping 325 pumps? Did you shoot a total of 10 shots from 3000psi to 2000psi? 10 shots for about 100 pumps? More pumps at higher elevations...
@patrickwhite33035 жыл бұрын
Once you get it to 3000 psi you get 25 shots and then it takes 35 to 40 pumps to get it back to 3000 psi
@AirGunWeb5 жыл бұрын

@johnnybarbar74355 жыл бұрын
@@AirGunWeb So are you saying you can go from 1900 to 3000 psi in 40 pumps when it took you approximately 100 pumps to fill it the first time at that starting and topping off pressure? What did I miss?
@AirGunWeb5 жыл бұрын
It would take about 100 pumps to go from 1900 to 3000 but 25 shots wont take you all the way down to 1900. I usually shoot 3 mags of 8 shots (24 shots) then it takes about 60 to 70 pumps to fill back up. So 40 pumps was not correct but Pat was right in saying that its about 25 shots from 3000 to 2000. The original question was if there were only 10 shots from 3000 to 2000 and I was agreeing with Pat that you get more than 10.

Sometime you could do a test on how hard you have to push down on the pump (weight), especially nearing the end of the fill. Maybe just put a bathroom scale under it? I'm trying to decided between a PCP/handpump or a Springer. How much weight would I need to push down to top off at 60 strokes?

What I don't understand that makes me scratch my head, someone invented a hand pump with levers that made it easy to pump. I always wonder if it was a safety issue that caused it not to come to the market.

You know what I quit using the hand pumps years ago even with the filter it's still only blocks 90% of the moisture that can go into your gun and ruin it did I have seen lots of guns were ruins rusted-out ruins all the old rings so I use a SCUBA tank two are my guns up it's a lot faster it's a lot easier and it is moisture free and I'm not damaging my gun matter fact I had a Marauder Benjamin Marauder that was leaking air I had to send it in to a guy to replace all the seals and it and I was using the England pump there that you were talking about and it was Rusty inside he showed me all the bad parts even though I had the filter moisture still got into the gun and pretty much ruined it so I would highly recommend a SCUBA tank
