i wasted decades of therapy on the receiving end of psychologists who were just as in the dark as I was. This one video cuts through all that i knew what was wrong subconsciously but needed someone to light the path. Thank you so much for your wisdom

You think you're complimenting him, but you're actually belittling everyone else. Part of your trauma coping is comparing people and thinking someone has to be "the best" to be good enough. He's good enough as he is, he doesn't need to be better than everyone else, and belittling the intelligence and awareness of every other trauma therapist is just hurtful. You likely have this internally for yourself. You know you don't have to be better than everyone at something to be worthy of praise and attention and you're good enough to help people as tou are

@@kevinbissinger so according to you, everyone is equal in talent and experience. We compare all the time it's what humans do. Have you ever watched hockey? Did you ever say one player is better than another. Are you one of those people who thinks everyone should get a reward even though they didn't put the work in to receive it. I don't normally comment, but you seem to be fine psycho analyzing others, I really am interested in your take on me. Since you can figure someone out from one comment. Really who am I and what's my diagnosis doctor?

@@canadianeavestrough My only hope in this life, I've placed on something that is outside of me (not God). So there is not much hope for me, but this guy, TIm, knows his stuff. At times, it's like hearing someone reading my biography out loud! Yeah, his diagnosis is spot on, but I don't put faith in the cure, if the cure is up to me or up to God.

And don’t expect setting boundaries with others to go perfectly at first, the first time I set a boundary with an ex and stood up for myself I panicked and went backwards cause I felt mean 🤦‍♀ It gets easier as you get use to setting them and finding balance ❤

Thank you for explaining all that complex trauma can murder. I appreciate your understanding also of how nuanced, pervasive & chronic certain conditions can become, and how dedicated followers of God can triumph. Thank you for the clarity and permission to let go and let God, with no guilt for being human. Bless you.

Scriptures were used in lots of my abuse. Yet… my abusers are not at all like God. I thought they were just like Him… but I have been learning that they are not at all like Him!!! I gave Father God a chance to prove Himself, and He does that. I tried everything else, and it was like eating sawdust. I have found that true healing comes as I get more and more into relationship with my true Father God!

I'm 48 years old, and this guy describes me to a T, especially my first 13 years of life in this world. It's hard to desire a relationship with a higher power when you've felt abandoned and ignored by God ever sense you was a small child, when you've felt God deserted you as a small child it's difficult to desire anything to do with a higher power why because the higher power wants nothing to do with you

Most of my life I’ve avoided healthy partners because I don’t want to mess them up. When l meet someone who is in my ballpark of dysfunction, I think “Well maybe we can get well together.” Rarely happens to the extent I was looking for but at least my dysfunction wasn’t exposed to a much healthier group of people.

I do understand how the way that many people use the bible can be off-putting. It took me a while to agree to listen to the Biblical parts of these teachings. 1. You don't have to listen to that part If you don't want to . 2. If you did listen to that part of it, you would realize that Tim teaches these stories very well and in a non triggering, and realistic way. 3. A CRITICAL PART of CPTSD healing process is storytelling. That is listening to stories and learning to tell your own. Regardless of what you think of the text, the storytelling aspect has real learning value.

I disagree. Carl Jung and early modern psychology thoroughly explored the concept of the psychospiritual. Spirituality is not the antithesis of psychology. It compliments it beautifully.
