First game in Leipzig 2:2 and 1:1 away. Unfortunately it was not enough for Lokomotive Leipzig. In the first leg, the Leipzig goalkeeper dropped a harmless ball behind the goal line in added time ( 2:1 Lokomotive ). Leipzig previously had 2 injured goalkeepers and then brought this man to the second half of the season. Even though someone was fit again, they preferred to let the new one play, that was a big mistake.

Honorable mention - Nottingham Forest. Between 1977 and 1980 they won the English League, The League Cup twice, the Community Shield, the European Cup twice, the European Super cup, and came second in the Intercontinental Cup. You should do a video on what’s going on with football in Mexico. I know it might not interest many but it’ll help shed light on how corrupt the league and federation are and how they just rip the heart out of communities by constantly relocating football clubs. Not only do they do this, they also breach FIFA rules by having owners own multiple clubs in the same league, the gentleman’s pact where a player who runs down their contract may not negotiate with another club in the league forcing the players to either sign a new contract or find a club abroad. Also they disbanded their second division without (allegedly) notifying the clubs. There’s so much wrong with Liga MX that it baffles me how they consider themselves a first world league.

There is this club here in brazil called portuguesa and in 2013 they were on the brink of relegation, but they used a suspended player and then got 12 POINTS removed and they were relegated to serie B but then they got relegated to serie C and finally to serie D, and they got relegated from serie D and now they don't have any competition to play(here in brazil serie D is the lowest division) and now they are going to make 100 years of history with the club in no division and huge amounts of debt since the club was known for producing legends specially for the 1958 and 1962 wc titles for Brazil and seeing this makes me so sad, because there was a time they were so good they were known all of Brazil and got the nickname BARCELUSA because they call portuguesa as lusa, i'm really dissapointed and I hope they can come back to the top level of serie A again. One episode on how the fall of communism ended the growth of eastern European football because in the 1980s and early 90s there was always one eastern European in the European Cup semis; surely this trend would have continued because of the government support these clubs had in their respective countries.
@carick2354 жыл бұрын
Red Star would probably dominate 90s if war was avoided, after CL title in 91' they didn't reach final in 92' because UEFA banned them to play at home in Belgrade because of "safety" (although war was not even in Serbia but in parts of Bosnia/Croatia), and still they reached semis group in such conditions and lost decisive "home game" in Sofia (Bulgaria) vs Sampdoria.
