YOGA FOR NECK & SHOULDER RELEASE | MY MINDFUL MOVEMENT | WELL WITH HELS
Today’s yoga practise is focussed on find a release in the neck and shoulders which can build up during the day if we are stressed or have been seated for long periods of time, or even from carrying heavy bags.
This home yoga practise is a gentle way to stretch out the shoulders and release tension held in the neck and even jawline. With this gentle yoga practise you can pick your favourite movements or postures and tailor your home yoga practise to whatever you need.
The breath is always the most important part of the yoga practise and a slow and calm exhale will also help calm the nervous system, which will then in tern relax the muscles which are holding onto tension.
This yoga for neck and shoulder release is suitable for beginners and all levels of yoga practitioner. These yoga stretches for the neck and shoulders can also be practised anytime of the day to help release tension in the upper body.

SD day 104 part 2: I completed this after the gentle chair video and the two complement each other really well. This practice for me proves the magic of yoga. Much of it is in hero pose and three months ago I couldn’t manage more than a few seconds. Today I completed all of the sections of the practice in hero pose with ease and comfort. Thank you Helen and thank you yoga 👏👏

Wonderful video, so helpful for folks (like myself) who struggle with disorders of the Tempromandibular Joint (TMJ/TMD). Releasing my tightening and compensating muscles with these poses really helped me tonight; thank you! :)

Hubby did this one with me! There was a lot of groaning from him and giggling from me! He can’t sit back on this feet.....not sure what the overreaching issue is there......So I suggested he sit cross legged instead....I guess he can sit back on blocks to relieve the pressure across the front of his knees if trying to sit on his feet?......Anyway Helen.....You have a lovely way with you.....And I am super happy hubby is participating. Xx
