This man gave me his number, told me to put everything back and he’d cut me some wood from his personal stock at home. I met him in a public place the next day to pick up the wood he cut for me FOR FREE lol

FYI: that's a trick maintenance folk use to get side jobs... Hang out at Lowe's or Home Depot, watch for The Lost or The Confused, help them get what they need -- including the trinkets -- tell them what they need to do, then give them your number "in case you get stuck". They might not call on the garbage disposal, but they'll call on the dishwasher... [Done it a few times myself.]

I worked at Lowes and yeah we had something called pros which is basically a system where customers order a lot of product and Lowes makes sure it's ready when you show up ... Most of the people who use that system are contractors and people doing handyman works and a lot of handmen are black I wouldn't say it's a majority but I'd say it's a pretty even split with black and white with a small handful of Latino's
