Re: talkative friends I had a friend like Bill who did that, would talk your ear off with his stories. His name was Gary but we called him Gabby. Vietnam vet, half-crazy, decent construction contractor, better bass player, we were working on his 63 Chevy II restoration project, had a 383 stroker built for it, was putting in the drop spindles for the disc brake stuff when he had a bad stroke. Never got to finish it. Passed a little over a year ago. Would be cool to hear one of his stories again.

I think its time for bill to start writing a list of things needed done to finish project and to gather All things associated with said project before coming over to the puddin shop, so youre not having to make 10 trips back and forth to his place. Ive helped friends who where disorganized as such and it would always make a 3 hour project into a full day project. Lol gotta love it 😂

That exhaust tuning trick brought back some great memories. When I was in trade school, my teacher brought in a guest who was a builder for circle track cars. I remember him telling us that's how they did it back in the day (except they painted the pipe and it would change color). Old timers have some pretty cool tricks! Thanks for another great video.

Hey, Puddin. I used to be a welder in the Navy. When tig welding, many of our jobs were in cramped areas was no room to operate a pedal. I would use a piece of scrap metal to pre-set my heat. I would set the pedal and the machine so that when the pedal was pressed all the way down, the machine was already at the correct setting. This cut down a lot on me, having to sometimes crawl back and forth to the machine. It just gave the fire watch, who was about about two feet away an extra job that in case fire put me out first and to operate my pedal 😅. Keep practicing. Watch the formation of your puddle and add your filler at the leading edge of the puddle and not in the middle.

When cutting in the curve of a pipe if you match the angle to cut across it your pipe will be round and stay the proper size

The best way to make that exhaust look good is to cut the header behind the collector then extend the header tube's then put on the collector

Having friendships like you have with Bill and Slick(most infectious laugh on KZbin 😂) is something I am working on. I live about 2 miles west of Pot county and I’ve had more people who offer help, offer me their place to shoot and sight in my guns and crossbow, even offered me a place to hunt and open invitations to use their land to do things I can’t do where I currently live. People east of OK county seem to be good folks and have been very welcoming to a guy escaping the city hoping to own a little land with his own shop to work on his own cars. You’re a good dude surrounded by good people. If I ever see you out and about I hope you have Theo with you 😂 that would be awesome

I did the exhaust on my truck about a month ago, even though going from open header to adding a 4 foot piece of pipe made a heck of a difference in the sound it was a lot quieter.

Hello pudding I noticed you grinding your tungsten. What i do is shape it horizontally, then grind vertical. So the electricity will flow down the grain .it will concentrate at the point of your tungsten. .if not try

Rural northeastern indiana farm kid here,i was raised in the country and i have had allergies and sinus issues because of pollen,hay,grass straw ragweed lol ironically go figure anyway i myself use Mucinex dm sinus meds, and i have also grown up with a strong allergic irritation to cat and pet dander, and yeah we still had cats, dogs,a pig or two and a horse on the farm growing up

I've had great luck cutting mandrel bends on the evo saw. Chuck the clamp , hold the pipe to the angle you want and cut away. It was a game changer for me, reduced the belt sanding and got rid of my crooked death wheel and portaband cuts . Give it shot, just keep the fingers out of the way.
