Hi Ben, Im trying to sell my products. in Optimization for Ad Delivery (it suppose to be Conversion set-up lile you said).. But Facebook gave me a warning that if I choose Conversion instead of Landing Page, I will have Zero Conversion.. So I chose Landing Page.. So these 2 weeks, I only have website visitors and no purchase. Why facebook stops me to Chose Coversion even that is my goal?

Hi, I have a question! I have a client who is running remarketing for 6 locations and in the process of running prospecting. Their budget is $20.6K each month. I'm stumped on how to structure the campaigns as they have 3 separate goals for each service! Service 1. Restaurants -> Click to Reserve Event (this is a lead) -> CPA goal Service 2. Private Events -> Click to Tripleseat Event (this is a lead) - > CPA goal Service 3: Shows/Concerts -> Purchase Event -> ROAS goal I was strategizing on having 1 prospecting campaign with 4 ad sets with the appropriate conversion event attached. See below my idea: Campaign: Prospecting - 1 ad set = restaurant audiences - 1 ad set = private event audiences (wedding, corporate, etc) - 1 ad set = shows (artists, etc) - 1 ad set = Lookalike (customer lists, purchasers, FB/IG engagers) However, since only one conversion event can be attached to one ad set, I'm super confused on what to do with the Looklike ad set! This is crucial because lookalikes perform pretty well. How would you do the structure because of this? Same with Remarketing! They want to track each service by conversion event.. Any of your recommendations / feedback would be great appreciated!!

When we select conversion as an objective, we got the option to select website visitors and then putting Facebook pixel on a particular page.. this is what you've explained in this video. Hi Emma, no it does not. You can go for it from day one :) I don't usually use dynamic ads because you can easily end up with too many variables which makes it more difficult for Facebook to optimise your campaign.

Every conversion I am trying to choose, such as purchase, add to cart or view content gets a message saying 'Ad Set may get zero purchase or zero add to cart' etc. I've been running for a number of years so have a lot of data on my pixel so not sure why it's giving this message?

How about Leds generation ? What's the difference between leads generation and conversion objective ?

Lead Generation keeps people on Facebook or Instagram. They are shown a lead form in app instead of being directed to your website as they would be with conversions. Lead Generation tends to produce lower quality leads but a larger volume. I'd often recommend testing both.

Hello Ben! Great video, it helped me a lot! I have one question though. I am promoting a Shopify store. I have been running some traffic campaigns in order to warm the audience. They brought a lot of content views, but only 3 add to card actions. Therefore, the store hasn't reached purchases yet, and I was wondering what kind of conversion ads should I use. When choosing the conversion event, the only active option is content views. The purchase, add to card or add payment info options have yellow dots (it has been more than 2 weeks since Pixels registered these actions). What do you recommend me to do? Should I create a conversion ad for content view? Should I continue with the traffic ads? Thank you!

Hi Maria, if you follow his videos, he'd advise against it. 90% of his ads are conversion. I've been running some traffic ads myself, I'm seeing very low CPCs but 0 sales. I switched to conversion, it's doing better. I suggest you also test the conversion :) you can try ATC and VC (viewcontent) first if you don't have enough purchases yet.

Hi Ben, I'm a bit stuck... I've got a new FB account, I've set up my Ad as a conversion to my click funnels website. However, when I go to the "Ad Set" and then "Optimization & Delivery", the "Conversions (Recommended)" is greyed out and I can't select it. I can only select "Landing Page Views" and "Clicks". Any idea why this might be and how I can fix it? It does say this about "Conversions (Recommended)" - "If you've had at least 25 conversions in the past week, you can start a campaign here". Does this mean that I'd need to run a Landing Page Views conversion until I get 25 conversions and THEN I'll be able to do the "Conversions (Recommended)"? Any help would be greatly appreciated! You need 50 conversions per week to optimise fully. But a partially optimised conversions campaign with less volume than that will nearly always outperform other campaign types.

I have a pre-optimized custom audience of ~42K users (matched in FB) that I know are currently highly likely to buy a specific product and I want to reach as many as possible, would you use Conversion or Reach strategy? Tried Conversion but I am only able to reach ~10% of the audience without Facebook starting to increase frequency a lot and conversions did not scale with that (frequency went above 8 where most purchases where seen at 2-3)? Ben, I'm hoping you can help me with a question. I'm running my first campaign with my new BM. 1 campaign-3 ad sets-3 ads per ad set. Each 3 ads will have a different creative. Each Ad set will have a different target audience. Should I create the entire campaign before I publish it to Facebook? You are very welcome. It doesn't sound like the issue is the conversion event to me. It sounds like the issue is the checkout page or process. I'd try and fix the conversion rate between add to cart and purchase. Optimizing for add to cart is only likely to make that conversion rate worse.

Hi Ben, great video! I was wondering, we sell multiple educational product so we have multiple thank you pages that define a "lead". Now I'm wondering what conversion to choose for my campaigns. Do I use the lead for that specific ed-program, or do i choose the 'general' leads (lead is defined thru ALL the thank you pages, instead of a specific one)

my goal is to have more app downloads which objective should i choose? traffic? app installs? coversion? or awareness? which one will be the most cost efficent? as i have not yet monetised my application it is under development stage also what should my campaign objective be if i want to increase my instagram followers to create a social proof of my application

Hey Ben, I’ve got a question. So I’ve already installed the Facebook pixel, to the website I’m looking to get yoga teachers register as vendors to the website, I’m trying to figure out how to add a trigger for vendor registration as a lead. Would really appreciate your help.

So what you're saying is for new campaigns run a traffic objective to get conversions and then once you get a good number of conversions run your conversion objective to scale and get consistent results.

Nope - I'm saying that you should run the conversions objective from day 1. Conversions delivers 74% more conversions than Traffic - that data is straight from Facebook. Hope that helps :)

Ben, thank you for great content as usual. I have one question though. Might be silly but what is the difference between remarketing and conversion. I mean I know the difference but when is better to choose the one and the other? If you could just briefly explain, it would help a lot. Thanks! :)

Thanks Pavel. They aren't separate things. Remarketing is simply advertising to people that have already interacted with your business in some way. You can run a conversion campaign to an existing audience. You can run a conversion campaign to a cold audience.

Hello Ben, I really appreciate this video. However, it seems that you didn't comment on the message appearing below Conversions field around minute 19:30 of the video. It looks like it's not possible to make a Conversions campaign (even if you already have a warm audience from an email list) if your website is new and it's not getting multiple sales a week yet (Facebook says that you can make such campaign, but it will be very inaccurate). I thought you somewhere mentioned that FB algorithm searches for all people that usually make online purchases, not only looking for similar people to the ones that already have bought on your website. It may take months until a new ecommerce gets several sales a week (like FB Pixel apparently requires...). How is a conversion (purchase event) campaign supposed to be launched then? Thanks

Hi Ben, You didn't show the Estimated Daily Results in the Right Hand Column....for Conversions. I'd like to ask please....what happens if Facebook estimates 0 conversions....is it worth even running my Campaign? Thank you in advance.

Hi Cheryl, you can just ignore those estimates - they are very inaccurate

Another great vid Ben - cheers! Would it be a good idea to have a different campaign for each individual country? e.g UK, USA, Canada etc... ...I was wondering if interest targeting would differ in each country? Likewise, if my email list is mainly from the UK, could I do lookalikes of that for different countries? (or, because the source audience is from the UK - the lookalike will only work in the UK?). Thanks Eddie. I would usually combine them into one ad set - you can use breakdown to see where the best results are coming from. But that is personal preference. Yes you can create lookalikes in any country from a source audience based in the UK.
