19 going to Uwaterloo (second year). This was a great video! I unfortunately wasn't there for my universities orientation or first couple weeks of school in my first year. I was also very introverted for the first couple months of school as I did not know anyone and had missed a lot of the stuff that would help people make friends. If this is you right now my best advice is clubs, clubs, clubs. You are BOUND to meet someone. If u are shy, what I did to get used to talking to randoms was literally ask people to watch my stuff or ask for directions even though I knew where it was just to break that barrier and get used to talking to people for the first time. My parents' house is close to my uni so I didn't have to move, which ironically has limited my options. On the first couple years I did not care about making new friends or anything cuz I was satisfied with the ones I already had from highschool, and that was a huge mistake. I recommend a book called "A subtle art of not giving a fuck" from Mark Manson. It covers why people give so many fucks about even the smallest things, how to overcome it and start living your life to the fullest. The author also made a movie if you don't like to read. It was an eye opener for me when I first saw the movie. People always think that people will judge the shit out of you if you do something that is considered "lame" or "embarrassing". The truth is: No one gives a damn about what you do. And if they do, they are probably thinking to themselves: "Damn, I wish I was that guy. He has so much charisma and confidence." Talk to the guys, ask the girl out, shoot the shot, take the leap. Stop thinking that everybody cares what you do. No does. What will you lose ? What will you regret ? The best stories are those that were not lived. So you might as well go for it. We believe in you, brother. You got this !

Great video. Can you do a video helping nice guys who are perceived as gay because they're too social, shy around women, and maybe didn't have any masculine role models growing up? I find that even though I'm very social with dudes and less attractive women I keep having this same problem. I'm attractive and social but I don't have confidence with women so people start to think I'm in the closet. This seems to mess me up socially and it's because of a bunch of factors that were out of my control (being raised by Mom alone, not playing sports or any masculine activities, lower T/libido due to several health issues, and having mostly only female teachers, plus few masculine friends).
