Who else is in the "I hate conflict" club? 🙋🏻‍♀️
As a naturally conflict averse person, I thought that the goal in life was to avoid conflict at all costs. I learned the hard way that avoiding hard conversations is not a healthy way to exist in relationships either 🙃
In this video, I share everything I've learned about conflict to help me get over my fear of it and handle it well.
Please note that this video and my channel is for educational purposes only and it is not a substitute for therapy nor does it establish a client-clinician relationship. For support that is specific for your unique case, please seek help directly from a licensed and registered therapist in your jurisdiction.
As always, thank you for watching and I hope you are staying well 💛

I feel this. But I've improved. I always try to avoid it (cause in my family my dad got angry for everything and my brother was unpredictable) but in the end I face it. The problem is that I'm so nice, I try to talk nicely and make requests nicely or protect my boundaries but then when things go on the same way as if I didn't say anything, at some point I'm done and I switch to bitch mode and just destroy the other person. (Which then changes behaviour) I worked on this sm but still it's a weakness of mine. I don't really get why they want me to be mad, can't we just talk about things nicely? Lol

Thanks for sharing Padme, and I'm sorry to hear about your challenging experiences. I provided a very idealistic script in this video and even if we stick to the script it's never guaranteed that the other person will. Either way, if we came from a loving and understanding place and the other person still does not react well, that's still okay because that gave us important information about that person and that relationship. It also says much more about the other person at that point and it does about us, and we should be proud of ourselves for doing the best we can AND approaching the conflict instead of avoiding it
