Ive just done mine last week. I've attached mine to my right side headlight so i can have it on when the parkin light is on. Also grounded it to a support brace.

That squeak isn’t a big issue just change your belt and make sure your pullys are good

I had a similar sound on my c300 a while back, except mine was louder and constant, took it to the shop they had to order a part and it took forever to get it, I forgot what exactly was wrong
