Thank you. Let me know how it goes, or if you have any questions. One suggestion, if your hair is fine, make sure it’s locked before you start to use conditioner, as you may get some unraveling or additional slippage.

Thanks for sharing the info/ tips, Val! I have 262 micro braid locs, and anticipate that I will have a few additional ones once my front perimeter grows in thicker and can handle it. I actually like the “fizz” on my hair also. I have also found that the 4 point rotation is making my locs too thin. I am going to also switch to three point rotation on my next retie, as I think it will also give me my desired fullness. Question: With your hair loc’d down the shaft, how do you keep your ends open (curly) after trims? I don’t intend to cut my hair for the first 3 years, but was just wondering.

Once I trim the curly ends off, I immediately put my conditioner heavy on the cut ends, and pull as if I’m trying to unravel my locs. I only do that on the tips of my locs. Because my conditioner is so thick and heavy, it helps with loosen up my ends.

Hello, I just happened to come across your video (I'm glad I did). Your locs are beautiful. I'm a little over 2 years in my journey. I recently switched from 4 point to 2 point rotation (too soon for me to see a difference). My locs are fuzzy, which I dont mind too much. I do have one question, do you ever wrap your fuzzies around the loc?

No, I don’t wrap the. I actually like the fuller looker look with the frizz. I didn’t at the beginning of my journey, but now I ensure my locs are well conditioned, which keeps them frizzy.

Thank you. I use Joico Moisture treatment balm. I love it. It's very thick and you will have to rise a lot, but it makes my hair so soft and bouncy. i have a video about my shiny locs in my locs playlist on this channel. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you. I use a water soluble conditioner on my hair, and I rinse it a really long time, after I condition it. I use no other products on my hair. I did a video talking in detail about me not having lint nor buildup in my hair. It also talks about the conditioner I use. Let me know if you have any questions.

Love your locs, are they sister locs? Is that why you have so many? I just started with 2 strand twists and have only 80 locs. Compared to so many videos I’ve seen, I worry that I don’t have enough.

These are braid locs. Just small braids. She interlocks them to maintain them. I think they were smaller but then they were skimpy looking so she twisted two braids together all over. So I guess it’s braid locs and twist. I love her hair and will be going this route too soon, so I’ve watched all her videos. She even cuts hers to have some shape to it. She breaks all the rules and I love it. The curly tips, not showing the parts, 🙌🏽

Thank you. I have braid locs. Joy 2 Tha World’s response is correct. In reference to the number of locs you have, do you have a picture of how you want your hair to look once it’s fully loc’ed? For example, I wanted a combination of a sister loc look, but still be able to be full, and look like a lose natural depending on how I wore it; therefore, I knew I needed a lot of locs to pull off that look. Only you know if you have enough locs. If you like it, then you have enough locs. However, If you want your hair fuller, I’d suggest you splitting them earlier in your journey than later. It’s much easier to combine locs as they mature, rather than split them.

@@LivinDivine ok thank you, that helps. I showed my loctician several photos of what I wanted in the end, Ava Duvernay was at the top of my list, I love her locs. And my loctician has beautiful locs too, so she started me off like her own.
