I like crockpot infusions. Just pop the jar in a crockpot full of water and towel and leave on warm overnight. Let it sit for another week-very potent.

That’s a great idea. I personally don’t like to heat my oils specifically olive oil because olive oil is very finicky and oxides very quickly especially with heat added and that oxidation is toxic to the body. But the avocado oil tends be okay and more stable in regard to the oxidation
@denyshadials57024 жыл бұрын
Anne Michelae I understand your thought process. That’s why using a jar and dried herbs are so important-no air/water. I’ve done it with my cooking oils all the time. It deepens the flavor of olive oil rather increasing the risk of it going rancid sooner.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with novices of this realm of Ayurveda, may I ask what do you do with the Henna left over once you put the oil in the applicator bottle? Is it reusable or no? I like to watch my pennies and if something can be recycled that's great but not at the risk of causing damage or an unhealthy state to my tresses. Thank you in advance for your response.
@AnneMichelae5 жыл бұрын
Personally I don't reuse but thats just because I don't like the clean Up process. But many people just add new oil to the henna and allow it to infuse. It's totally by preference.

I didn't want my dark hair to go away, but I sacrificed it for the length xD. And to be honest, it still looks a bit dark, but in well-lit areas that's when you can tell the reddish hue. But at the same time, henna does nothing but bring out what hues you already have :D

@AnneMichelae5 жыл бұрын
Yeah some people are deterred from the orange hue lol and I get it, it's permanent, but the effects of Cassia Obovata are not permanent like they are with henna. It will only last for approximately 2-3 weeks, in fact, Cassia Obovata isn't actually henna at all. BUT it is very effective if used consistently and the infusion process would be the exact same.
