I love the “your kitchen your rules”. I don’t understand why some people think there is one way to cook. Those looks delicious I am hungry and could eat a few now.

I tried fried dumplings so many times, followed so many videos, and could never get them to come out right. They either were always floury, or hard, or uncooked in the middle. So I had zero expectations when I decided to try again with this video. For the first time ever my fried dumplings came out perfect!! Your recipe did it for me. Thank you!

I shallow fried as a Jamaican. But in the states I tried deep fried and liked. But then I met this skilled Jamaican and she said shallow fry, low heat and cover pot😮 . Anyway I like your technique and soothing voice. More helpful than Morristime

My husband is American and I am Jamaica but raised in the U.S. and he has been wanting me to make fried dumplings for years. I tried your method and made some saltfish with onions and tomatoes on the side- a recipe my late mother used to make me and my siblings for breakfast and he just loves it. Thank you greatly.

Incredible! Your dumplings look spot on, and seem like the typical ideal my parents and grandparents would have achieved routinely. I never learned from them unfortunately, but with your help I stand a good chance of reproducing that fantastic texture and taste. Thank you so so much, and also for including such a comprehensive written recipe to follow. All the best 🙂 PS: I just made them.......... Brilliant!!!!

Hi Jerene , I tried your fried dumplings and they turned out great. Thanks for sharing this recipe, I have a question for you is it possible to allow the dumpling dough to rest overnight in the fridge or on the countertop, covered with a damp towel. Let me know. Thanks for your response.
@JerenesEats Жыл бұрын
I've left it in refrigerator overnight with cling wrap. However the next day I take it out of the fridge for a while so its easy to roll.

Hi! A bit different...festival has cornmeal, is sweeter and sometimes has spices added. Festival is also shaped long rather than round. Here's a video of my Festival kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2ebqYSqmtqfjJY
