Hello!! I just want to share my experience so far in my training. I’m currently on my Voice Build Program (Training) in a BPO company here in the Philippines. I passed the interview but I am not yet hired. So, they put me in a 4 week program where in they will determine if I am capable for the job. It’s just my 1st week. But, so far I can already tell that I have a lot of improvements. It helped me a lot with my accent because we focused on accent neutralisation this week. I even got some good feedbacks with my trainer even though I was not that good in English. My tip is just be confident with the way you speak and watch this video because this will help you a lot, just like what it did to me. Thank you for this video, ma’am!! Tomorrow's the first day of my training. To be honest, jitter bugs are eating me out. I've no call center experience and I'm already feeling small thinking that I'll be in the same team with trainees who are tenured. I'm afraid that I won't be at par with their skills. I'm afraid of being left behind. I hate this feeling. Even though I received compliments during the hiring process about my communication skills, I fear that my technical and navigational skills will be the death of me. My training will start on Thursday, im a newbie po. Actually kakahire ko lang ulit kasi umalis po ako dun sa isang call center company na pinagttraininingan ko last December. I was afraid na hindi makapasa sa training because everybody says mahirap daw yung acct ko which is Telco acct. I applied again sa ibang company right after ko umalis sa company na yun then fortunately na-hire nanaman ako and yung acount ko now is the same account na inayawan ko. Btw, they do not know na nakapagtraining na ako sa naunang call center company. Maybe yun talaga yung para sakin. I hope i will pass the training! Hi Ms. Rea! I just want to thank you for making this video/ for making call center related videos. I'm on my 3rd week of training for Comcast- Tech Support and all I can say is, it has been a very difficult journey for me since the first day of my training. I'm having a hard time understanding all of the things that we've studied in our class, specially we handle billing in our class and it's really difficult that's why most of the time I felt that this job may not be really for me, I lost my confidence because I feel like I'm very slow at learning all about billing, I also feel anxious when there's an incoming assessment, I worry that I won't do the right thing and that I will not pass the training. I don't want to quit but my self esteem has become so low right now :( I just want my negative thoughts to go away, i know that if I keep on letting my anxiety corrupt my mind it will really affect me and my performance. Is 2 weeks enough for training? Cause I always feel like I still need some time to learn mentioning about having a difficult big ass account. I always felt like a little bird getting forced to fly on my own by my mom even tho Im not ready or skilled enough. Call center virgin here. I only finished senior high school. Were always getting told that we don’t have choice but to suck everything up in a short period of time.

There's a cctv in most rooms for sure but it's for security purposes, not for "training" purposes (if thats what you mean). I've had a 2-week training before. It's surely not enough but it's also something we cant control coz it's client directive. I'd say you can never ever be too ready regardless of how long the training is. It's just not going to help if they keep people in classroom training for long because the real learning is when you are already taking live calls. Be easy on yourself. You're still starting. You'll do better eventually. 😊

Hi Ms Rea, I started training a month ago and we're already in the second phase of training where we would take live calls already. Its really frustrating on my part because I tend to get tense when a call is incoming that I freeze and would take a short pause to give a response which resulted to an irate customer and because of that I became too hard on myself. im a newbie or tinatawag nila na Virgin. 😅 Nag karoon kasi kami last week ng Show Up which is the my trainer will act as customer and me as agent. I got a low score on it because i experience a mental block situation. But i know how to navigate the system, and the problem is nawawala yung mga gusto ko sabihin and yung proper way kung paano ko sasabihin sa customer. Suggestions lang po, ano po kaya iba pang way when it comes to telco account na mga sentences na pwede gamitin para atleast may clue ako na kahit mawala sa isip ko lahat ng suggestions eh may mga hint pa din ako magagamit. Training isn't too complicated as the transition part or nesting , whatever you call it. Don't get nervous.

Well you basically need nerves off steel and you got to use arm statements like I understood your frustration and I will be everything I can to resolve your problem. This is especially true in a rentention department which is basically a customer service escalation department. If you are a customer it helps but it you are B2B SDR or a customer success CRM then it can hard to interact with the customer especially in rentention. I worked in residential retention and my best chance in hell was to flatter the customer otherwise the customer saw me the same way teenagers view mall cops.

My contract got terminated on my 4th day of training because i didn't got a passing score on the mockcall training exam, I just want to ask what can I do about? Can I apply to another company without worrying about it? And should I include it on my resume? Btw your videos are really helpful.
