I got my 2020 Wrangler in May 2020. MSRP was 56k. I got it for 46k. My advice is to buy during the worst of times during a global pandemic when the whole auto industry is reeling. It really works. Also, dealers usually pay 750-1k less than invoice, more if it's a hard to sell model.

What you are missing are the factory incentives. Right now in Canada Jeep offers 5% (they vary over the year from 5% to 7.5% to 10% at the year end usually).....which lowers the dealer invoice price by 5% etc. There is also a thing dealers get called Hold Back. That is generally 3-5% of the invoice price. Most sales people don't even know about that. It is an offset from FCA to cover inventory carrying cost. With a factory order; that hold back goes directly into the dealers pocket. There is no carrying cost. What I am getting at is that even if a dealer shows you a piece of paper that show "the invoice cost" there is money behind the scene. A dealer doesn't lose money to sell a car. That just doesn't make sense. My statements are true. I was a general manager of a dealership for 15+ years. What you really need to do is find out what the incentives are from FCA before you start negotiating. These incentive get deducted from the invoice. You will quickly find dealers less likely to show you an invoice. You will still get sales people telling you they are losing money. They will probably believe this only because the dealership management doesn't let the sales people know about the back end money from FCA. I do feel sorry for consumers because they don't really stand a chance. The best deal is always pitting 3 or 4 dealerships against each other. My final advice is whatever you pay is a good deal to you. Dealers make between $1,200 to $2,000 at the top end. That is a fair profit for the amount overhead they have. Buy your Jeep and love it for what it is!

Thanks for this information! My husband and I found a dealership near Philly, PA that gave us a 5% under invoice, plus 1% Tread Lightly deal. Kate at Courtesy Jeep in Coatesville was really easy to work with! Highly recommend working with Kate if you're anywhere near Philly! Our new Sahara should be in by early May, can't wait!!

Did you just send her your build? They have 6% listed right now and i am about an hour away so I definitely need to check this out.
@jenniferfollo6783 жыл бұрын
@@jpl8085 Hi, I emailed her (Kate Morris) first to say I had read she had great deals on Jeeps. (You could also call her.) She explained the process and that how if you order a car it doesn't cost the dealership any money like cars that are already on their lot, but they get a financial kickback from Jeep once the car is delivered. Then you can send her your build. She'll send you back a breakdown of the MSRP, Factory Wholesale Price and their below FWP price plus $1400 destination charge. You'll still be under FWP. You can tell her if you want to lease (4 door Jeeps lease really well) or buy, what payment you'd like to be at and she'll tell you how much down you need. She'll give you some payment numbers but ultimately you'll finalize that when the car comes in. We lease ours and originally thought we'd be at 48mos for the second Freedom Jeep, but there was a better program for the same payment at 39mos. We also signed up for the $100 Tread Lightly membership mentioned in the video above. That saves you another 1%/$400+-. You'll need to do that a few weeks before you car comes in. Both of our Jeeps came in at around 4 weeks from when we ordered them. You can also check the status with Jeep through their Chat portal. Kate will give you your order and VIN numbers to do that. Once your car arrives they have it all prepped and cleaned for you. You'll do some paperwork before going to pick it up and just a little more there, no negotiating, no salesperson going back and forth wit the manager, just sign and drive! If you have a used car to trade in they are at a premium right now and you can get top $$$. We detailed our 2011 Handa Pilot for $150 and I think we got at least $500 back because it looked to good inside and out. Hope all of this helps, let me know if you have any more questions.

Great "Ideal" purchase Brad, congratulations on your new purchase. Though, the issue is ordering heated seats, then expecting to buy aftermarket seats, and installing them. Without the Heated or cooling feature is bad, adding to it is worse. The main issue is the aftermarket seats don't have the Air Bag Safety System weight sensors, and this would cause the air bag safety system light stay on, and may cause air bag failure. Never mind not being able to sell in future because you thru away, or cut the wire hardness below. Just reupholster them, or change them at the dealership, to maintain a warranty, for the leather.
