I just wanted to say that I’ve wasted so much time watching KZbin to learn swing mechanics, putting, and chipping. I started watching your channel and I used your concepts of dispersion off the tee and the 6 greens, 6 up and downs, and 6 birthday holes system. I normally shoot between 87-91. Yesterday I used your advice on course management and I shot 83 even with 3 double bogies. I’m officially sold on the way of the playa!

my biggest take away from this video was definitely "our goal is not to keep it together, our goal is to keep doing what we've been doing, because what we've done up to now has been done, and if we keep doing what we need to be done, we're gunna do what has to be done to be doing it" Prophetic, concise, toight.

I played some of the best golf of my life today and it was 100% because of this channel. No blowing up. Just forgiving myself for bad shots and moving on to focus on the next one. Shot shape confidential. Chipped like a boss. Better putting. It was the happiest I’ve ever been on the golf course. Just wanted to say thank you.
@EdwardVance-vs2wyАй бұрын
I started watching you videos about 3 months. I haven’t played in years and the best I could was shoot 125+. Today I broke 100 for the first time, shooting a 97 using your adjusted par method. Changing par 72 to par 99 and stop being a stinky winky in my course management and keeping certain clubs like my driver in the bag. My short game inside 100 yrds is very satisfying. I’m making more two puts than 3 puts. And when I have a bad shot or hole I can put it in the rear and not get all bent out of shape like I used too. Thank you for your hard work putting these videos out.

I’m a 26 handicap and I stuck to a strategy the other day, playing a 7I off the tee, and playing to free throw shot distances intothe greens.with a PW & 9I. Slope index course 128 Didn’t miss a green all day. Played my first 9 in 46 and my second in 49 Just through implementing tips from your videos. I started playing golf in June this year. Cheers!

Playa, I just broke 100 for the first time in my life. I only used my 6-iron off the tee. Always tried to get to the mouth of the green so I can bump and run. I did not have a single GIR. My two pars were long par 4 up&downs. My worst was a solitary triple bogey on a tough par 5. No good good on putts. I feel like I’m in heaven. Thanks for all the guidance man!!!

Man, i remember my second club tournament, ever. I was so amped up because i was a legit 20 handicap and i had been working very hard on my short game and felt i could win the whole thing (handicapped). I calmed my nerves and got around in 40 on my front nine and then got to thinking about winning. i shit to bed and shot 55. I learned an important lesson: ONE shot at a time is the only way to play golf. Getting ahead of yourself will kill your game.

Echo what everyone else says here. Am a v high handicapper but only recently am I able to finally practice regularly. My mentality generally is very negative and I’d get so lost watching videos on swing mechanics etc This channel and expert teaching on the mental side of the game is transformative. I’ve a long way to go and many years of bad habits to fall back on. But this channel has opened my eyes to a new way of thinking. The context is golf but the application more generally is staggering. Thanks so much Matty Boom Boom O, and the approach on the 11th was sublime

Yeah man there are some holes where you just weigh up the downside, upside and EV. if the EV is 50/50 on the hole, but negative for the rest of the round after that hole if something goes bad, I'd rather take my bogey and conitnue like a baus the rest of the round after the hole

Started keeping score This year after only casual play with friends and family. Got the bug. Watched your videos and virtually no others. Shot a 47 on 9 holes the other day and a 49 at my home course 9 2 days after. Mindset has transcended thinking too much about swing tech and I couldn't thank you more. Lowest on 18 is a 102 and I will break it next year. I'm enjoying the early ride so much and you've helped my foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment in this sport 👑😎

Amazing way of integrating an ad for betterhelp making the link with golf. This is the exact reason I picked up golf, as I want to understand which behaviors I take with me on the course when things don’t go my way. Playing a round of golf with this perspective gives me a very accurate picture of things I need to work on in life. Still end in the negative on the last 3 holes… so work in progress I would say.

Definitely can relate to these concepts, lived them, for example worrying about a bunker inevitably puts you in it, or trying harder because you're not doing well makes it worse, etc. I no longer have bad thoughts when I play, I just play each shot as it comes up and I do a LOT better. 6 handicap now...

What is the credit loss due to my group of golfers telling me my front nine score. I was playing my best round on the front. Was going to shoot a low 80’s maybe even a high 70’s. I wasn’t paying attention as I was following the basic “boom boom no score tallying protocol till after round”. But lo and behold someone shouts out you scored a front nine… you’re playing lights out!! And I tanked the back nine thinking I was in the hunt to break 80. Instead wound up with a low 90’s.

I used to fast a lot for 48-72 hours at a time so I got over the idea of hunger really affecting me. Usually I just eat something before thr round and then ignore hunger the rest of the way. The biggest thing is hydration for me. I do drink a lot of salt water (potassium chloride and sodium chloride) - this staves off hunger and keeps you hydrated. Sugary drinks, beer, plain water just doesn't do much for me except make me piss, and crash (beer/sugar). I use VKTRY insoles and propulsion socks so the walk is SUPER easy. i can walk 36 in a 100° day now and I feel great. Pretty much it's mind of matter in my experience. I just play into my tendencies. I pull the ball more with my irons when i am tired/unfocused and slice the ball mor eiwth the driver. I just play around that
