Started Keto Jan. 2022, then switched to Carnivore in July 2023, hbA1c was 7.5 and on insulin, now off insulin and a1c 5.1! Plus I've lost 130 lbs. So I'm satisfied with the results. And there's Bacon!

I did keto in 2019 I felt like a jet engine. Then went back to a Mediterranean diet. I started struggling with inflammation and my gut the whole time. Then I went to carnivore and I feel like the freaking Hulk.

@@Finn959 Yup, still on it. I actually have eaten nothing but beef for the last few weeks. I still get cravings when I see images of junk food but they are pretty easy to ignore. It's important to eat a high amount of fat on this diet to stay satiated and happy.

If you're an MD you need to get together with other colleagues who have respected titles in society and begin the motions to save our meat supply. They're coming for it under the guise of "climate change". One of my fears is being forced onto a plant based diet...

I did carnivore for about 3 months and experienced most of what you've said. Lost 30 lbs without much exercise. I felt like I had more energy during the day and my brain fog went away. If I had done cardio regularly I would have lost maybe 40 or 50 lbs instead.

Finally made a video that has me making a comment.. feels like we're on the same wavelength with all the things we're trying out in life rn. I'm deep in week 3 of carnivore and my appetite is still ravenous as per usual. I've been bodybuilding for yrs and it has been such a struggle to keep my lean physique year round. Dropped off caffeine and nic 7 months ago.... sometimes I think about getting some Zyn pouches or having a light coffee just to suppress the appetite. Keep us posted man, when you can get a lurk to comment you are really connecting to that universal frequency. Take care

@@Adreno23421 Switched to an animal-based diet after 6 weeks of carnivore and it has been incredible. Have been eating fruit, honey, grassfed beef, eggs, and a shitload of ribeyes. Try it out!!

I've been strongly considering Carnivore. I did Keto a couple of years ago with great success (lost 40 lbs, lowered my blood pressure, and several other things) although it raised my cortisol, revealing a magnesium deficiency (from previous diet) so I started taking magnesium every day and I felt much better. But yeah, I want to do carnivore. I don't think I'll be as hungry as you because protein always really satisfies me, so hopefully it won't be as expensive as it was for you. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Dorian , great to hear about your experience. Been on this for 30 days before xmas now back on again. Sorry to hear meat prices are so expensive in US , im in UK. As for wattery poops , thats more than likley the keto flush , glycogen ( think thats the name) gets flushed from your muscles , or fat cells, something to do with ketogenesis i believe, it doesnt last. Will look out for your next upload, cheers .

When you feel so lousy during the diet - it is called the Keto flu - your body is detoxing on the maxium level and your body is CRAVING for carbs and sugar- Please stay strong in these 2 days. If you survive your KETO cold with sniffles, you will hardly crave pasta, pizza, cake or sugar anymore. I found great ideas on PINTEREST and mady my own porc rinds, beef jerkey. AFter 1 week no snoring, no arthritis pain, skin cleared up, sleep really deep, much more energy

In my experience, the RUNS, happens when i eat processed meats, like sausages. It might come from the salami you were snacking on. Would be interesting to know if the RUNS correlated with the amount of sausages eaten (salami etc)

Be careful man. You can do some serious damage to your gut bacteria if you stay on extreme diets or do extreme fasting for too long.

​@@YeeLeeHawnothing extreme about the carnivore diet. It's the natural human diet. Most vegetables we eat today are not natural or found in nature at all and are the product of years of selective breeding. Most plants contain anti-nutrients, especially nuts, seeds, and grains.

I'm on day 10 on the Ketovore/Carnivore diet. Ketovore, because yeah, I do eat some cheese and herbs/spices (mostly salt). I want to just say Carnivore, because I'm on super low/zero carbs and plants (minus the rare spices). I started at 250 lbs. and I'm down to 244. After seeing a ton of vids, I'm seeing that this diet for weight loss affects those who are already a bit chubby like myself, and already have a higher BMI. Fit people get the keto flu pretty bad on this diet. I'm still in the "tired" stages, and my workouts feel unmotivated, but I'm pushing through them. In 10 days, I'm down 6 lbs. and still going. My natural diet when I was a kid was meat and rice. Just meat. Just rice. I don't natively like vegetables. I love fruit, but I never really liked vegetables. Heck, I don't even really like potatoes or wheat or bread. My asian blood just wants rice. Now, I did mention zero/ **low** carbs, because I do still have an occasional soda or sugar coffee. I'm carefully counting those, because I'm aiming for less than 50g carbs, if not, just zero. It's working really well right now. This is just day 10, I'm continuing this all throughout April.

Thinking that you were likely ravenous because of the quick transition from previous calorie restriction. Your body wants to add those calories back, so it demands it. You probably could have mitigated a lot of that by eating at maintenance or maybe 200 calories over maintenance for a few weeks before switching to carnivore. Jumping right back into eating as much as you want after a calorie restriction is a sure way to fire up demand. Dr Mike talks a lot about this. Bodybuilders use this technique. It works.

I know of 3 people who did meat only for 2 to 3 months. They all lost weight from 4 to 6kg (without much exercise) and had reduced joint inflammation but all ended up constipated to varying degrees. From evacuating every day, they often went 3 to 4 days without a bowel movement. That doesn't sound healthy to me. 😮

It seems that way, but honestly I spend about half of what I used to spend pre carnivore. Vegetables are way more expensive than meat when you look at how much nutrition you actually get out of them. No more processed foods, eating bad restaurant food, alcohol, saves me so much money! (budget went from 800 a month to about 400 a month. It's very easy to do carnivore for $10 a day, and really you could do it closer to $5 a day if you were on a very tight budget.

I think that was the enzymes that your body uses to digest carbs "dying off" and causing runny bowel movements. This is what I heard on Carnivore group boards.

Water taste sweet? It's your body telling you to drink more water. You would need a minimum of half a gallon a day (for a sedentary person). Salt will help the body absorb the water. But some carnivores do not need to add salt. Those doing keto defintely need the salt. This would help to flush your kidneys. Also, add butter or tallow to your meals (no seed oils).

I did carnivore for 5 months, i felt great otherwise but i had no energy to workout. Now i have fruits included with the meat and dairy products, definitely gotta have some carbs in the diet.

The sensation of sweet is because you were in ketosis, burning fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates. Excess ketone bodies in the body produce a sweet fruity smell and taste in the mouth.

I was 40 days on only plants and in first week I was so hungry so exhausted. But after ten days i started to feel better and better. I was needed to eat more times only but after 40 days i use meat it was so amazing.

I've decided that going forward I'm going to listen to my body. Since starting carnivore I feel better than I ever have. We've been conditioned to think bacon is "bad" for us, but I'm no longer convinced. Like Dr. Chaffee says "Bacon is better for you than any plant you can eat" I eat bacon almost every day and my blood work went from a complete train wreck and me knocking on deaths door, to amazing numbers that I still can't believe. We are all different and just have to find the combination that works for us.

There are inexpensive beef cuts, such as ground beef. I wouldn't have ribeye steaks every day, unless I wanted to blow a lot of money really fast. I have about 22 ounces of meat a day and that makes me satiated enough to go without eating for 17 hours.

A lot of people are extremely privileged! My carnivore journey was pure suffering. I did it for 7 weeks, had 1 week break and then another 5 weeks. Almost everything is perfect except I'm stressed out of my mind at all times. I was raising my voice soon as the code didn't work. I never been this impolite the other people either.

I have heard that diets like these and fasting sometimes increases cortisol. Maybe you’ve got enough underlying stress that the extra from the diet is pushing you over the edge. I had some feedback that I was more cold during my time in Keto a long time ago too. Productive but colder and less smiley.

@@rosaliom.s.2382 This is true. I had much higher cortisol on keto and started experiencing a lot of anxiety and panic attacks. Turned out I was deficient in Magnesium! Once I started taking that, I was fine. But yeah you do want to make sure you ease into keto unlike what I did. My diet was all fast food and then bam! Strict < 20 Carbs/day Keto and probably not enough protein. I was also super stressed with finances and work and not sleeping enough and with the magnesium deficiency, it was revealed with Keto.

Been eating this way for almost 6 years (December 15th will be my 6 year anniversary). Completely changed (dare I say saved) my life. Eating this way allowed me to eliminate a laundry list of health issues (T2D, Sleep Apnea, GERD, Neuropathy, brain fog, and much more).

Yes, it is down to your genetics. As an animal that is genetically of the human race, homo-sapien sapiens, you are an apex preadator who has been eating a hyper-carnivorious diet for at least 300,000 years and have a digestive system to match. Just a suggestion for a SNAKE. Make silver dollar size hamburgers with cheese, and without, put them in the fridge. Take them in a sandwich bag, like a jerky. Great snake even cold, or warm it up in a microwave. Works for me. Continued success.

To avoid feeling like shi when embarking on this journey, get creatine. 10g/day should do the trick. I recommend taking having these 10g in 3 portions daily, because if you just drink 10g of creatine at once you will most likely shit yourself. And it usually takes like 2 mins. Instant diarrhea

Stop this nonsens about danger range of ldl. First of all it is not a cholesterol but huge particles - liporoteins. Compare your triglycerides, hdl and ratio of them before and after and you will see how your cardio-vascular risk decreased - I am sure about that.

Man… I ate some oily slow cooked ox tail and that alone made me hostage to the porcelain gods for a good hour. I can’t imagine only eating meat. We cut red meat and our cholesterol went down; I’m not convinced meat is healthy at all. Next up try a vegan diet 😂

Carnivore changed my life. But it got even better when i starter to consume my grass fed organic beef raw, liver raw, and raw egg yolks. Its unbelievable. Im 34 and have struggled with my health big time after living super recklessly and after around 10 months of not totally strict carnivore, im feeling better than i have in 10 years. I occasionally eat blueberries, oranges, and honey. Superfoods and Vegetables made me super sick over the past years when i was trying to he "healthy". Oxalates are a real thing. Watch out for high oxalate containing vegetables and fruits...

eating 2 packs of bacon is difficult and that is 1400-1900 cals. eat 2 packs of bacon and 2 ribeyes that is difficult and all that would be barely 4200 cals... 10K?
