I think people were honestly more worried about the girlfriend finding out and killing herself. She was already suffering from anxiety and depression. The OP who went to meet that guy and he brought his friend with benefits and ignored her. She gave him way more chances than she should have-she should have walked out of the restaurant the minute he started ignoring her and going in for the kill with his f-buddy. End of friendship, ghosted, blocked, and finding a better class of human to befriend. By continuing the “date” into the girl’s apartment she just let the abuse continue, and by not blocking him, she left the door open for him to reject her once again. Girlfriend, do better standing up for yourself. You deserve better. And yeah, he and the f-buddy were trying for a threesome, but that’s a super abusive way to go there.

Story 2: this whole thing sounds like unrequited love and self friend zoning to the nth degree. No, it's not because she woman, he man but more because of how she describes him, how she feels about him and how she put up with the humiliation and still decided to give him the time of day to explain himself. It does also sound like he may have had feelings for her but he went the "make her jealous" route like a damn child or a toxic ex. He starts off confessing to a mistake-a super gross and vile mistake, but OK, he’s now asking for help to figure out what to do next. People tell him to own the mistake, man up, but no, he’s just gonna “take himself out of the situation” by STAYING with his GF and letting the mom baby-trap her estranged husband back into marriage because it all works out and “everybody’s happy.” (But they’re not happy with anything real, dude. Then the mom loses the baby, so he’s STILL staying with the GF, going to therapy with her while STILL maintaining a lie, gaslighting her and himself into thinking he’s becoming a better and more healthy person WHILE LYING-and even after he was enraged with the mom for not having an abortion, he’s now moralizing about how unfair the dad was for trying to get the mom to stop drinking and smoking during the pregnancy, and being angry with her when she lost the baby (because it’s her body-and he doesn’t even see the hypocrisy!) If this guy ever got honest in therapy he’d be diagnosed with borderline personality disorder or something similar. He has NO self-restraint, has NO conscience, has NO grasp of accountability, and NO empathy with all the people he has hurt and keeps hurting. Just wow. SMDH.

That OP from the first story is the salt of the Earth. He still looks at himself as "a good person who did a bad thing" even though he slept with and impregnated his girlfriend's mother, and that lead to her having a miscarriage which likely damaged her marriage beyond repair, and all the while he continues lying to his girlfriend and doesn't see his literal betrayal as something that's relevant to their life. The guy wasn't looking for a way to make everyone happy, he was looking for a way to get away with what he's done. I'm willing to bet the mom wasn't the only person he slept with. Him and his girlfriend's mom are the only people in this story I don't feel bad for. Many victims do go through denial, especially men who are often told that they can't be assault, and such. Perhaps once he is able to process this, possibly in therapy, he can tell his girlfriend. OP in story 1, walking away from the situation means leaving ALL of them behind. Sticking with the girlfriend is wrong and justifying it because she is depressed is STUPID. Mom and OP are disgusting for what they did. Mom is disgusting for now lying about paternity to reclaim her marriage and OP staying with someone who could one day give birth to a brother/nephew of his older child is gross. He had two reasonable choices: tell the truth and break up with girlfriend or just walk away and stay out of all of their lives. He and Mom chose the cowards path. At least three people will be devastated one day when this comes out, possibly more.
