The dopamine detox/social media detox changed my perspective on how I interact with the world. Although since doing the 30 day dopamine detox/social media detox challenge, I've gone back to using digital media in my daily life. However, the things I learned from doing the dopamine detox/social media detox still sticks with me even after a year since doing the challenge. This challenge gave me the most mental clarity and by far the most important challenge I've ever done.

Fun thing: I've had a digital detox day today, I didn't do 24 hours or smth. It was more about 12 hours. And now in the evening I opened KZbin and am watching videos that I like, not the videos that have no meaning. I feel great! Thank you for the video!

It's always great to unplug. Sometimes I'll consciously choose to step away for a few hours to do activities that don't require a device and even that helps me unwind.

I've watched a many of these same videos but yours resonate with me most because I'm the same person. I love technology but also want to feel creative & itching to work again. I like that you had your husband do this with for accountability?! I tried this a couple times but kept relapsing and am looking for tips to really make this happen.

My tip that helped me is realizing that in the grand scheme of things 30 days isn't a very long time, and if it feels like a long time, than the necessity for me to do it is that much more important. Sometimes, I'll cut off technology just for a few hours during the day. Maybe leave my phone at home when I go out to the store or sit on the couch and do a non-technology related activity and leave my phone where I can't reach it and turn off my computer. Baby steps.

Wow! How did your friends handle not being about to game with you for a year? lol Amazing, challenge. I cut myself off once in a while for a day or so and always feel good about it. But I go right back to being a zombie pretty quickly
