Litterally sitting in my month old to me, 2006 g35 on jacks. Replaced camshaft position sensor, oil changed, rear diff. Fluid changed, front upper control arms, sway bar links upgraded, sway bar bushings upgrade, wheel bearings, doing lower ball joints and air filter replace now. Getting ready for carlisle PA as long as the governments COVID-19 doesnt keep it from happening.

@laughingexorcist7143 you still have your G35? I'm in Bucks County. Bought an 06' Coupe RAS in 2018 w/ 13k original miles. Absolutely love the car!

Here i'am, again! I'm right around 70K original miles on my 06' RAS G35 Coupe. I love the fact i can come to this channel and see for myself what will start to fail, what i can do to pre-empt a major disaster, by staying in front of the failures to come.... So far i replaced the stock radiator with an all aluminum one. Rear Bearing Hub assembly, headlights, and the front bumper with an aftermarket Karuma Z (after i clipped a 🦌) I appreciate the time & dedication you have put into this channel.

I have a 2005 G 35 Sedan just turned 234,000 miles. Im replacing control arms , compression arms and ball joints . Thanks again man been a subscriber for about a year now keep up the good work !

That's what I like to hear! 234k on a VQ is just breaking it in...LOL. You can also use a heat gun and then pry it off with a fork if you don't have the 3 jaw puller. Autozone rents the jaw puller too, so this job actually cost me $0. Ball joint replaced under warranty and I rented all the tools.

The most helpful video changing a ball joint. Torque specs were very helpful. One small thing, you should torque the inner control arm bolt under load. Just jack up by the ball joint until the load is just off the jack stand then torque it to 96 ft/lbs.

Miss the videos. Saw one where a guy was saying the rental kit he got wouldn't work and took his knuckles to a shop to get them pressed out and in. Glad I came back across your video to find out about that bigger kit. Got two greas(e)able ball joints from rock auto to install soon.

Hi. Thanks for all the great Diy content , Tech info, & tips & tricks that you offer. I wanted to ask you a few questions concerning rims & tire sizes for my 2004 G35. The 20 inch set up i have is wearing out inside edge of both front tires. 275-30-20 on rears and 245-35-20 on fronts. The tires do not touch or rub anywhere. I have had 2 alignments done , along with getting a front end "shake down" looking for any worn parts and all seems ok according to shop techs. Is it possible this wheel set up is close to being too big for the car ? I'm wondering if i should change to 18 or 19 inch wheels / tire package , hoping it won't continue wearing the inner edges? Any thoughts?

@@dfacedxa ...I visit California often, it is not that is less attractive to move too. The barrier to entry in being able to afford housing is getting unaffordable to most. I think the recent statistic is 30,000 people a year are leaving California and moving to Arizona due to cost of living. How are the ball joints holding up? I’ve been told by many people that they are not serviceable you must replace the whole knuckle. This is why you can’t get a OEM ball joint from Infiniti.
@MotordyneG35
@MotordyneG35 5 жыл бұрын
You are correct! There is no OEM ball joint from Infiniti, same with the rear diff bushing. They want to charge you 2k for a whole rear subframe assembly and I also replaced that bushing with whiteline for $100 in my rear diff subframe assembly. Not sure what Infiniti wants to charge for an entire knuckle assembly for this ball joint? No issues on the passenger side ball joint I replaced in 2013 or 6 years ago. The driver side was way past due on a new 1, it has never been changed. I'm sure the driver side ball joint I just installed, will net the same results as the passenger side.

Thank you! It's actually a high rise condo, I live on the top floor overlooking the only lake in Phoenix, Arizona. I use the elevator and my tools are in a box on wheels so it is actually pretty easy. 70 degrees days in February. This is how I lay out at the pool to get a tan, my man, working on my car on the roof...lol. Smoking Flower while filming up so high is actually peaceful. Yes, I am allowed to work on my car in my parking garage. My neighbor has a Noble M400, Aston Vanquish, Aston DB7, Bentley Mulsanne and he also works on his cars out in the parking garage. He has put spark plugs in all of his cars and other maintenance. Putting spark plugs in the Aston was a pain. Here is a video of me working on the Noble M400 in the parking garage.......kzbin.info/www/bejne/enPOaYV7pZpph5I Eventually, I will get my own lift and the standard person garage.
