Your “Masterpiece” LP that you received from the seller in Australia appears to have a thin-stock cover and there’s an upper right corner bend. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened in transit because of the flimsy bubble-envelope. You’re VERY lucky to have received that in as nice condition as you did! It never ceases to amaze me how some folks think that a record will arrive unscathed to its destination without firm cardboard protecting it!
@sorinvinyl1523Ай бұрын
It could have very well been. I got super lucky that the record wasn't damaged! That record spent almost 3 weeks in the mail like that! Its a miracle haha. I've had a couple records shipped in bubble envelopes, and it really is unfortunate.

Hey Sorin!!! Great Finds My Friend!! Funny Story.... Saw Rory In 73 At A Festival.... Standing In Front Watching Curved Air (I Think) Talking To This Guy.... Then He Patted Me On The Back And Said " Gotta Go Mate" .. Came On Later And It Was Rory!!!! That's The Kinda Guy He Was.... Just Another Mate!!!!!

Hey, Sorin! Another great (and very informative!) video. Congratulations on the new purchases! Amazing how exciting it is when you come across these gems in Near Mint condition, isn’t it? Nothing like pulling a pristine record from the inner sleeve and being greeted by that stunning gloss! In your recent travels, did you happen to stumble across any earlier Elvis Presley albums in high grade? In north Idaho, there are virtually NONE, which is kind of frustrating.

Hello Sorin. Another great video with some great finds. I have noticed a humming nolse on your broadcasts for the last few times and hope you can fix that. Cheers.

Hmm. I have had a few comments about the humming noise. I know a few things I can try, but it honestly could be just the sound of the building. I really want to fix it haha.

Some fabulous buys there Sorin, too many to comment on. I'm still missing the 2nd Tangerine Zoo. Love the January Tyme lp, wish my sleeve looked like yours... major seam wear on mine. Result on the Masters Apprentice...I don't own any of their lps. Only seen an overpriced uk copy of their s/t and it was rough. Love the cover on that Satan Is Real lp but like you its not my bag musically. There's a cool segment in the Alan Zweig Vinyl doc where he's obsessing over that lp. Wasn't familiar with the Omnibus lp..gone onto the wants list. I can confirm I got a copy of the HY Sledge this week that you and your pal put me onto in your vid a while back....thanks for that. Cheers Nige
@sorinvinyl1523Ай бұрын
Thank you! I'd love to get the first Tangerine Zoo lp. Its very hard to find Masters Apprentices records, especially in the states. Agree on Satan is Real, the cover is amazing, but musically not for me. Omnibus has great fuzz guitar, its a really good one. Awesome that you got HY Sledge! I'll let him know! Still need that one haha. Thanks for watching ✌☮

Great video. Nice scores! I love Taste. I was lucky enough to see Rory Gallagher live in 1979. You're so right about "Kind Of Blue". Bummer about getting burned. Don't know that Master's Apprentices album, I know the other two and like them. I'm going to go give it a listen. Thanks. Cheers

Nice score on the Harvey Mandel LP, if you are looking for his other albums, I would suggest Cristo Redentor, from 1968, I also have The Snake and Games Guitars Play, which are awesome, but Cristo Redentor is my favorite of the three I have. Cool you found an early press of Kind of Blue, great jazz from Miles. That Master's Apprentices looks interesting, I have their self titled debut album from 1966 (not an OG) that's really good, so I'll be checking out that one. Wow, an OG of Tangerine Zoo! I have the reissues of both their albums, so cool you found an OG. Some fantastic finds this time around Sorin, thanks for sharing.

That Taste lp is great - I had to pay more than $5 for it ;). I have not heard the 2nd Exuma lp, but I can say the first I can only describe as voodoo reggae. Good to hear him mentioned. Masters Apprentice is a great Oz 70s band. Just scored January Tyme and Omnibus - thanks for the tip!

Yee-ha... The Louvin Brothers! I'd of probably fallen for the album cover, but I listened to a few songs and.... uh? Zabriskie Point is sort of an hippie/arty film. A bit of a yawn for me, as is the soundtrack. The January Tyme LP is great, with a cool Grace sound-a-like. Tangerine Zoo! It's the better of their two albums, with the first being more garagey. I also have one of their 45's.
@sorinvinyl1523Ай бұрын
Yea Louvin Brothers is not for me haha. Still a cool record. Soundtrack made me yawn as well, really not for me. January Tyme and Tangerine Zoo are both great lps! ✌☮
@brucster99b2Ай бұрын
@@sorinvinyl1523 Yeah.... the Zabriske Point film is a yawn-fest, as is the soundtrack, but for hardcore Floyd fans, ya need it, I guess. Some of the later CD releases feature extra unreleased tracks, but they're no big deal. A friend has the Zoo's debut, but it's more garagey, and not quite up there with Outside Looking In. Worth having though if you find it at a decent price. Don't know if you've seen this or not...., silent footage of the Zoo, but clip has had audio added to it by the band themselves! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKeQl4iOdtyiibM
