I had an MSI Z390 (never gave me problems) and currently using a MSI B550 Tomahawk and no issues at all..... Bios update after update. Had it for 3 years now and it's been a blessing

Hi Vadim, the way you talk and describe things is always interesting and gets me to watch until the end. I also like the more and more confidence you have in your videos. You deserve all the best. Keep it up, brother.

I have a Tomahawk Z790, an interesting feature included in the Z890 is the digit debug LED, generally it is an option found in high or extreme end motherboards...

Is it MSI mag tomahawk wifi or MSI MAG TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI & When you bought it, is it performing well?

It's not about how it looks, it's about how it operates.

It's interesting that MSI moved the CPU power plugs and CMOS battery compared to the X870 Tomahawk. The gunmetal accent is also a nice touch. Thanks for the overview.

Only a 6 layer board, if u really want to run arrowlake u need a mobo with 8layers or more for a very good signal integrity to the memory, because of the fact that Arrow lake will need to run at high mega transfers to be competitive in games. Get the msi z890 pro a instead of this, as they are basically the same boards.

Those all appear to be 6 layer pcb as well from what I can see.

Why 1 ARGB slot and 3 RGB slots? Now I have a question as a newbie how to connect my ARGB devices if there are 3 of them and one slot)

I have the new X870 Tomahawk which is basically the same board as this with a different chipset and socket soldered on and that thing is solid as hell too. My only problem with Z890 and Arrow Lake is that there are more and more rumors of the socket being a one time thing (as the cancelled desktop Meteor Lake was on this socket too) and the next cpu generation is gonna need a new mobo with a new socket which obviously rules out any kind of upgradeability. Which means just get the cheapest board as possible for Arrow Lake instead as the mobo will be throwaway.

I have this Z890, been looking around at reviews and all seem to like it.. guess i'm the outlier. My First MSI MB and i have to RMA it cause it won't work what so ever lol - Done like 4 hours of troubleshooting without luck, seems like a dead board. Although anyone able to confirm if the MB Debug LEDs work with only the CPU1 and ATX power connected with no CPU or RAM just to make sure i'm not going insane lol... if not then could be a dead CPU instead lol.

Did you even test this board? This board won't even post with 6000mhz CL30, forget about 8000mhz kits. Just google and check the MSI forums. There are dozens of complaints about this board being unable to even run common memory kits with EXPO settings. Maybe test and research the board before recommending this trash.
