Because you need to learn the cause and it’s the cause of because, this shouldn’t be seen as time wasting to learn a language … … just hang in there, you should not be sweating while looking HOT ! One should not be happy and enjoy the English language, cause you’d known about the word happy, but how often do you use the word hap? For the Chinese language , the Chinese word ‘happy’ consists of two separate Chinese words of ‘OPEN HEART’, we sure use the word OPEN very often, so should we discriminate the west for being more less skilled in maths and logics? Shut up! I am only joking here! So had you seen the movie “12 years a slave” ? The American English are sure down to earth, the black didn’t get whipped that much, the black just OUT TO LUNCH and be silent when it comes to learning the word shut up. As by 21 June 2024, google search for OUT TO LUNCH in Chinese, it returned a result of ‘LEFT THE PLACE for lunch’ in Chinese words. When it says Chinese, it can be a man or language, so you better be smarter to live in the west.

I am done with English, cause it can be very elaborated or ,, cut”d ,, very short … … you know , you know and eventually shouldn’t be knowing! The English lines can be too short or too long, so we can not really characterise the meta and psycho-pathologistic of the English culture, it’s not as simple as TO BE OR NOT TO BE. You are right, the word pathologistic is a new word that you shouldn’t be looking up for.

I would say “ fascinating” or “intriguing”. 其實就算你講Interesting，如果講嘅時候個語氣係有點猶豫㗎，人哋就聽得出你係對所講嘅嘢有所保留。如果你係興高采烈咁講Interesting人哋應該知人哋就知道你係真心覺得有趣。

Typically you have three options, depending on the context and where you want the conversation to go: 1) continue your story, 2) elaborate upon the sentiment, or 3) ask them to share their experience. If you want to know more, you can usually either 1) ask them to "tell me more", like you suggested, or 2) ask a specific question regarding whatever detail you're interested in.

I would be cautious in using "shut up" in this way, but its good to know this colloquial usage just for understanding purpose. This usage is pretty new and cannot be found in quite some dictionaries
