@@DrewFortune97 The concert video of Who Is Gonna Be The One by Napalm Records has superb sound and is a concert recording, whereas Pisces has some light mixing done. There isn't quite the shock factor that Pisces has, but Tatiana has some vocal tricks she doesn't show in Pisces. Other really good concert videos are Captain Clock at Resurrection Fest with perfect sound and I Speak Astronomy at Summer Breeze which doesn't have perfect sound but is pretty good.

For I Speak Astronomy, Drew, if you get to that one, as Jeffrey mentioned, I highly recommend the official music video first (beautiful song and video), not a fan of the audio quality of the live at Summer Breeze. I wanna say it seemed a bit, I dunno, hollow? Washed out? Like the recording device was too far away or something. But definitely agree about the live of Who Is Going To Be The One, amazing audio quality, top notch. I'd say around that live's audio quality for the Captain Clock live at Resurrection Fest, or the official live of Cloud Factory are that kind of audio quality.

RIGHT!?!!?! ISNT IT AMAZING!?!!!?* *I TOLD YOUUUUUUUUUU!!! :D:D:D:D YAAAAY!!"* Before you the urge to freak the fuck out, smash something but in a happy way and stage dive into the neighbours hedges while hoping your newly enlightend friend will join you.

That's her voice, my friend! She's an extraordinary vocalist, even in metal, where female growlers aren't uncommon. Tatiana's growls are so much deeper than her peers, AND, clean vocals that are so beautiful, she really stands apart. She also writes most of the band's lyrics, which are intelligent, deep, and, poetic, all in a second language.

@@ExUSSailor ironically, just watching someone reacting to Sit Stay Roll Over and not having a good time. Cuz sometimes she is just pissed and between her vocals and the band's musical skills a person totally feels that anger. I like though that while Who Is Gonna Be The One could be angry, it feels like an assertive call for action. I really enjoy the nuance.

@@j.f.fisher5318 Well, it depends on the song. "Sit, Stay, Roll Over" is about the 2014 civil war in Donbass, which occurred, basically, right where they're all from. So, anger is definitely the right emotion to be expressing on that one.

Thanks for a great reaction, it's one of those things, checking out new people checking the band out. And happy you seemed to really enjoy it as well. The song name flub you covered with that sound effect, that had me laughing. XD Oh! Almost forgot, thoroughly agreed about the official live Who Is Gonna Be The One, great quality. It's one of their heavier ones, kind of like Sit Stay Roll Over for example. Some others already got suggested, and I agree on the songs, so instead I'd also add Perennial, and their latest Teacher, Teacher, those two are off their newest EP, Micro. The former has a lovely official video (and I don't think I need to say how good the song is, but it is), and the latter is an official audio mixed with footage from several concerts, very well done job at that whoever cut that together did an excellent job syncing stuff up across concerts.

Love seeing people that have never listened to metal give it a try. Yes it's loud, and yes there tends to be lots of "screaming", but when used correctly, it helps invoke the feelings and brings to life the intentions of the lyrics. People seem to be truly amazed once they get into the lyrics of most metal. Metal tends to cover emotional and thought provoking topics and feelings in their lyrics. Also, while some don't notice it, I believe metal produces some of the best guitarists, drummers, and bassists in the world. As you put it, the bass and drums were on point. The drummer in this song leads the change overs and everything else just falls in place. Hope you keep trying out new bands and really give it a go. I think you will find that it will just speak to you.

i loved your reaction. i liked that you gave some knowledge before the viewing esspecially! if you're interested in the technique of what she's doing it's the false folds. when you do a false chord scream or a good vocal fry your false folds or cords resonate too...these are cords that aren't used for your normal voice...and the cool thing about them is you can make them resonate an octave lower than your normal voice...this is how people do subharmonic singing (think mongoglian throat singing for example) a similar phenomenon can happen in screaming...she can get that low rumble from her false folds that her normal girly thin glottal (normal or true) vocal cords couldn't get. it's really cool. if she is an alto then maybe she can sing down to an e3...but with the false folds she can sing down to an e2...an e2 is a male bass note...this is probbaly lower than you could sing for example just judging by your speaking voice...it's lower than i can sing. of course if either of us learned how to use our false folds we could sing a whole octave lower too.

Haha amazing reaction, definitely one the purest I watched! If you want to hear another mind-blowing female vocalist, make sure to check out "Ankor - Lost Soul". Ankor is quite an unconventional metal band too, with influences from many different styles. Hell they even literally mix metal with rap in "Shhh... (I'm not gonna lose it)", which is another great track I recommend, that in fact speaks about the narrow-minded haters that don't want to listen to anything that isn't the music they always listen to. So those are my two cents! :)

Yup, that is all Tati. She can do anything with her voice. She’s the best singer and lyricist I have heard in a long time! You definitely need to check out more Jinjer. I’d start with Who is Gonna Be the One (live), Bad Water (live), Words of Wisdom (live), Outlander (live), and Cloud Factory (live)

Pisces is a song she wrote to describe the duality of actually being a pisces. It's why you have two contrasting styles of music within the song. They represent the light and dark sides of a pisces personality. It's all from her perspective. It's stupidly brilliant song writing too. Their other songs are also wonderfully written despite English not being their first language. Tatiana is just amazing. But don't forget the rest of the band either because they're some of the best musicians in metal right now. Great reaction fella!

@@DrewFortune97 talent, drive, and years of practice. She started singing in metal bands as a teenager, starting at 18 or 19 practicing growls for about 5 years, and performing with growling vocals for a decade.

Yeah I was so distracted by Tatiana's screaming growl and dramatic stage presence so much the first time i watched this video, that I had trouble catching all the great instrumentals from all 3 of her bandmates. What a talented and unique band.

The song is about the two natures in the Pisces star sign and its reflected in the music itself with one being the soft and nice melody representing the positive and the harsh metal representing the negative.

Saw them thrice and... yes, it totally is her voice. And even after listening to all kinds of metal primarily for most of the last 20 years and being perfectly aware of bands like Arch Enemy or Abnormality, the first time I saw Jinjer perform "Who is gonna be the one?" (check the live version, around the 4 minute mark), I could hardly believe my ears. Those growls, but WAY lower. Just standing there, infront of the stage... crash, reboot, crash again :D And she just switches back to singing half a minute later. As for suggestions: Twelve foot ninja - Coming for you :D and Oceans of Slumber - The banished heart.

Yes its amazing there are a few more that can do that or even between growls and opera voice: Alisa Whitegulz (Arch Enemy) and Floor Jansen (Nightwish) for example.

More Jinjer, please! I’d give a song suggestion, but there really aren’t any bad songs. Maybe “Captain Clock” live at Resurrection Fest or the new video released a few days ago for “Teacher, Teacher”. 😊 (Subbing in hopes for more Jinjer.)
