Horribly good video. I now have no excuse for not being great at underwaters. I'm watching the video thinking, I hope he leaves a gap and I can just say "nope, if there's gap what's the point.". No gap. No excuse. Great video.

Love the pace of the video. No BS. No repeating himself. Straight to the point with clear, precise advice. Thank you.

Maybe a video on how to master the basics: Kick, breathing, turns, stream line. Practice habits that a swimmer has to have in order to try to be competitive, such as doing x dolphin kicks in each lap, how to breathe in short sets to recover, etc. The mentality, in difficult practices, things like that. I've never seen that and these are the things that no one teaches you but everyone needs. What an incredible video and thanks for sharing all this Caeleb, looking forward to what comes next 🫡

How amazing that this guy is on another level, in the video his time in 25m underwater on fast tempo without jump start in the startblock is around 10s. Keep up the goodwork champ, you inspire a lot of people and We are grateful to be able to learn from the best👍👍

This video slaps! I was looking for a underwater technique video and Caleb was the first person i thought of. I recently had a meet for 14 and under and decided to try out the technique in one of my races. I immediately shaved 4 seconds off! Coach was proud, i was proud, I would say this was a win win! I am a big fan of Calebs, and all i have to say is THANK YOU!

I've been doing a 20x25s warmup underwaters set with variations for the past year. 4 wide kicks, 4 narrow kicks, 6 power, 6 speed...definitely gonna start implementing the tempo progressions in now!
@Caeleb_Dressel24 күн бұрын
That’s a great set! Definitely work the tempo kicks in and get your timing down perfect👌

Hi, Im a newer swimmer and can go pretty fast underwater but my main issue is that I can’t hold my breath very long (especially for backstroke under waters, can barely make it to flags). Do you have any advice for me to improve it since the max is 15y and I want to be able to get close to that on my turns.

Awesome Video!!! I still struggle to get a good dolphin kick as a masters swimmer. Aiming for 29:99 in backstroke. My kick is just that bad at the moment that that I'm not faster underwaters as above :(. Please do 1-2 dryland videos as well. Maybe on for gaining the necessary flexibility and the otherone for gaining the needed strength.
@ericdesanto183123 күн бұрын
Your insight is awesome. Thank you. I was amazed at how much you talked about feel. I have always coached kick tempo by time and kick count alone. It speaks volumes that you chose to emphasize feel. And..."spamming"? Sorry, I had to laugh. I am not cool enough for the lingo.
I'd also love to see a good tutorial on how to do a flip turn. I haven't really found anything good from any Olympians on flip turns, and it would be extremely helpful.
