In my mid 30’s now. I wish I had thought like this when I was younger. The older you get you start realizing this. You can’t get that time back. To all the youngns reading this now: Dorian ain’t lying. Just f’ing start!

Absolutely true. I have wasted many years over analysing, over thinking and being afraid to act. Even though I spent so much time educating myself and reading behind my screen, I have not achieved a single thing I can be really proud of. Trying to fix this now by leaving my comfort zone, leaving my country and starting a business. Wish everyone else in the same position good luck.

I'm a 30 year old who finished high school and a college certificate program and spent his 20s working and being productive, learning how to play the bass and learning how to play the drums. I've moved out of my parents house but I need support so I live in a "host home" at the moment. I am currently single after many long and short term relationships and I don't have a degree, but I expect to finish my degree in 2 years if I take 2 classes each semester, including summers, for the next 2 years. This kind of content really inspires me because it shows me how other people have struggled in life and had it even worse than I did and then did a complete 180 on their lives. Good on you.

You're looking lively, healthy and energised brother, off topic but since I've noticed 😅especially your skin! Seems like you have it in order to give it to others alike ourselves buried in old limiting beliefs and patterns currently short of confidence. Thank you! As they say - the cat does not sit around thinking of how to catch the mouse - that's passive contemplation. But the active part of it is when the cat starts the hunt, and in doing the walk, not the self talk - finds the pattern that leads to where it wants to arrive. Alike that book advising to stop doing whatever we're doing when we feel we hit the plateau, leave a bulletpoint reminder on what needs to be done and go for a walk. Distraction is only there when we loose sight of our purpose. And since we've been lied to when we were kids in our minds developmental stages, we copy, embody, reflect and project those limiting beliefs that has now became the lense through which we look and define life by, we keep lying to ourselves and the world around us, until the point we fee so lost and hopeless. In my life's journey I've realised that it's the limiting beliefs we're unaware to that we pick up as kids, is the most prominent cause of procrastination - not feeling enough, understood, accepted, fearful and furthermore angry - with ourselves first, and then we treat others in that respect. After all we do not know what we do not know, hence especially we as men since we spend so much time in our heads - is fundamental for us to invest time in digging deeper into our heart's mind. Ladies have to do the opposite journey from heart to mind, but nonetheless we all have to balance our masculinity and femininity, as we all have a mom and dad, hence both hormones and chromosomes. How we do one thing is how we do everything the Buddhists and Stoic has said. Thank you for getting my conscious juices going for me to speak to myself here in this comment ❤️ love brother! Keep at it - you're changing lives, no matter how much you're seeing our progress or if it gets back around to you or not. We gods brother. And we oftentimes take this reality we've created for the sake of play, far too seriously turning it into a game of "win or loose". Wish I take my own advise more often 😌 hence I needed you today to be a godsend reminder 🔥

Wise words, very much agree. There's an even worse mode than endless planning trying to get every detail right rather than doing - NOT planning and also not doing. Just doing nothing, or having a vague idea, daydreaming on something but always putting it off. At least when planning and thinking there's a bit of an automatic reality check that comes in like how is it actually going to work, and usually some chance it will come together.

Its just nice to be reminded im not the only one out there dealing with these things as i get in my own head about it and it can be hard not to feel left behind in life, even though i had a decent job from 17 to 24 i just didnt feel happy in it and left in a way i probably shouldn’t have but its been a learning experience trying to find a new career path im 25 now and have bounced around in a few jobs the last year, im about to do my safety course to go into construction and im just hoping this is something i can stay in long enough so i can save money to start working towards my personal goals i hope everyone succeeds and doesn’t quit even when they might feel like it we just need to keep pushing till we make it

sometimes you will only take action on the things you say you wanna do until the pain of not doing it outweighs the pain of staying comfortable.. that AND creating actionable baby steps , and staying committed to the bare minimum, holding oneself accountable and being extremely patient and enjoying those baby steps are all so important.

I agree with you! Most people know exactly what to do to achieve their goals, they're just scared of failure and burnout but we get more resilient when we do hard things and failure is part of the process. You just got a new subscriber 😃👊

I love where this channel is going, keep it up! I've experienced this myself and seen so many people just waiting for the perfect moment, but starting and embracing failure is always the best bet. You probably won't get it right first try, but embrace failure because it teaches more to you than success. It gives you information on what to do to fix the failure which you would not figure out by just sitting around doing nothing. Being okay with and accepting failure is, I think, one of the best life skills anyone can have on this planet.
