The fire in your house has 2 different interactions one is for the cauldron and the other is for the fire itself. If you interact with the fire itself you can cook meat without vegetables *repost/as requested.

@@spritemon98 No its common sense, you dont cook meat on its own in the cauldron, you have to cook it on the fire itself as the Cauldron is meant for liquids and stews. Maybe if they added a scroll wheel option to switch between them both instead of facing them it would be easier.

hey to get rid of tree stumps you have to punch them, and you can cook without the campfire just light the fire under the kettle then you can cook there

That same bug happened to me when the season changed, I only had to restart the game and click on continue. Farm plots do work but you need to craft a sack and buy seeds, after your first harvest you'll need manuer. I planted onions, they grew overnight (that could have been due to the change in season though) and afterwards it wouldn't let me plow it or plant seeds, it said it "requires manuer" which im assuming you need animals for. Couldn't find anyone selling it. It doesnt look like you can do it with the resource storage barn but when you build houses you can edit walls just like you can in the forest. Be careful where you put the door though, where everything spawns inside once its done seems to be a set blueprint and i had a bed blocking my door, super easy to demolish and change though (doesn't look like you get any resources back) Food is better if you make actual meals in the cooking pot but you'll need veggies for it 🙂

If you lived to your 20s you had a decent chance to live into your 30s and if you lived to your 30s you had ok chance to live to your 60s

Stick is easiest resource to gather in large quantity because it's everywhere. You can sell them for 1g each. For early game, consider selling sticks and buy food from the tavern. Flatbread is pretty good for the price. For hunting, make 2 to 4 spears. You can throw them at the animals you wanted to hunt. You can take down deer and wisent with 2 spears each. Don't melee, throw spears from safe distance. Wisent gives fur which can be used to make winter clothing.

If you are able to hit the head of a deer you're able to take it down in a single spear as well, though it's not so easy to actually hit.

@@eliasbackstrom8446 I see. I'm pretty bad at throwing spears, it usually landed on the legs so I needed 3 spears to take down a deer. But overall hunting is pretty easy since the deer can't run far when their legs are injured.

@@dogparkagawa7273 my tactic is to sneak up on the side of it so I have a larger area that would count as a hit, then when I'm at around 5 to 7 meters I aim for the head, I have noticed that the spear goes a bit to the right of where the crosshair shows, for practising I recomend going for wolves, they are usually alone and are always aggressive, wich means they always have their head pointed at you when they have spotted you. Oh. And of course you should walk around with a few spears, incase you miss the first one. Hope that helps :)

As far as I'm aware, the way that rabbit traps work is that they capture rabbits that are within a certain range of them. Having the rabbit trap near your house almost guarantees it will never catch a rabbit. Anyway, good vid as usual :D

As the game told you at the start, holding down the left ALT key will show everyone nearby. Really useful for finding out who the vendors are (They have the bag after their name) and who can be recruited. No need to run in and out of every house.

Great job with this series so far. I picked this game up after watching your first post. As for quests press the key for inspector mode near villagers to see if they offer a quest. ! Will show above them. Also the time is shown on your map screen at top. Oh and you can see who sells items with the inspector mode, a bag will show. Hope that helps.

Get rid of stumps with a shovel :) When you hunt, press CRTL to crouch and get closer. Once they run just follow at a distance, then crouch and creep up again once they are relaxed

The skill that lets you see the herbs and mushrooms is a winner. I dont have to worry about health because the healing herbs are everywhere, once you have that skill. Great video

earlygame i'd suggest taking the talent in survival that lets you see mushrooms and herbs in the inspector mode, there are so many healing items and food items just chilling around you - grab them all all sell the excess to make good money in spring.

You can collect sticks and log and you can sell them even the straw. You can also buy seed on the town. You can steal things but I think it will lessen some of your reputation points when somebody see you.

Just a little side tip - Food and leather - Cross the bridge over the river to the second village, from the first one you start near. Head through the second village up the hill. On the path when it levels out and turns into little rolling hills. To the right of the road in the trees there are Boars. They will charge if you get to close and they hurt, but you can take them down with a wooden spear, bring a few spears they break. The boars give loads of meat and leather. ( you can buy seeds at the second village to)

I'm really interested in this game. I really like the detail and realism, as in the carry and building limitation, and the fact that you are not a lone human surviving on a zombie filled world. I really like the idea, if it turns out to be this, that this may be a "city builder" type game but that you are playing it in first person rather than "god mode". Tip on socializing: Remember the time frame. Consider that the developer seems to be developing this game with some accuracy to the time period. The Medieval period was ruled by very strong religious rules. Even today eastern Europe, as in Poland, Ukraine, Russia has much more conservative social rules than western Europe and North America. *Remember this game is created by a Polish game developer.* As a sailor in the US Navy at the fall of the U.S.S.R. I was fortunate to experience this part of the world. I can tell you that American "brashness" is *extremely* distasteful to the modern people of central and eastern Europe. Americans tend to fo-fo it, but aside from the "dark underbelly" that exists in any society, very conservative social behavior is the rule in this part of the world, and ( *I'm speculating here* ) that it will be the same in this game. In medieval times, because of strong religious influence, flirting with another man's wife could get you killed, and not by just an angry husband but by the entire town. Be patient; be humble; be helpful; you will need to earn the town's people's respect. As in those times, befriend and earn the respect and blessings of the father if you want to marry his daughter. If a lady tells you they "don't talk to strangers", if you are a friend of the father, you are no longer a stranger ;)

It depends on how you look at it. even among peasants a man would ask the father for his daughter's hand in marriage. I suppose with some, the daughter didn't have much say in the matter.

When building, you can get stuck inside the assets/benches that spawns inside the building like with the sewing building where the loom or yarn wheel will spawn upon completion. Be careful completing buildings from the inside, if stuck you use the “unstuck” feature but it spawns you back at the starting spot of the game.

PRO TIP PEOPLE: In the beginning when you are walking up to the first town there is a little hut, on the right side in a little field... There is things there for around 1000 Gold you can steal, and then sell in another town :)

Wisent, or Zubr. One of the good examples how to reintroduce wild species that were almost extinct. Considering myself lucky enough to have met couple of these 6 years ago when they were brought for reintroducing program in Eastern Rhodopes mountains (Bulgaria). That bug is the same for me. It auto saves when you sleep. It only locks up after you sleep on the nights that the seasons are supposed to change. I also think the farming is broken. I have a few more things to try. I am at the end of the second spring right now. On the compass a gray ! is a person with a quest. The sacks on the compass are merchants. Axes, sticks, and berries are the best to sell low level. You can not get a wife or villager until your reputation is high enough, so you need to do way more quests. Then again I flirted with EVERYBODY and never got as far as you did. When you are hunting make 4 spears. Hunting is not that hard. Press R to batch cook or build. Broadlief are a pain to find, but if you look around on the ground you will find them. You are limited to 8 buildings for a while. I have not seen any real reason to spread out your buildings. If you unload you can carry and sprint with at least 8 logs. Most buildings will only need 2 trips and you do not make buildings often.

I had to equip a empty bag in to the hot bar from there you can select the different seeds you have! Your fields can be a max of 16x16. I just made my farm behind my house. Carrots for stews and onions is what I planted.

if you go back to the cart that had the waterskin in it, there is also a cap/hat on the ground behind the tree that is behind the overturned cart. As far as food goes, in the early game it is indeed a bit rough getting enough meat to keep yourself fed, so you may want to buy food from the tavern to supplement your food supplies until you can get a farm going. Once you have Cabbage, Carrots, and/or Onions to harvest, nutrition isn't much of an issue. The potage, stew, and meat with gravy foodstuffs provide a LOT more nutrition than plain roasted meat. Lastly, be careful with the buildings you construct as the number of buildings you can have are limited. The number of them go up as you progress in the game. You are limited to like 4 buildings, then 8, etc.

there are seeds. I saw someone else playing buy carrot and onion seeds but there were other seeds available too. 1 seed does one hoed area so you want as many seeds as number of areas you hoed as well as keep in mind apparently the tax on you farms is determined by the size so the larger the farm the more you need to pay for taxes. I have yet to see tax collection but I noticed the message pop up when they made their farm. also keep in mind the seasons will effect what seeds you can plant and harvest (possibly what seeds you can find too).

You can also simply wash yourself by walking into the water in the river :) In summer i try to get as many berries as possible because you get a lot very fast and they sell 1 gold each. I easily got over 1000 gold with this.

Seeds are from a woman in the first town you enter for the main quest. Seeds can only be planeted in specific seasons, and you will need to prep the ground with manure from the cow guy in the first town to plant the seeds.

Just a tip when your eating the meat by itself your not getting the full value. You had grain in your chest. Potage is a meal I noticed you dont tend to inspect menu descriptions but we all have done that. The reason you got those food rewards in chapter 1 is to show you coming is valuable. Keep it up Kage

Stone is easier to spot at night with an torch. Sounds dumb, but the torch light makes it easy to see them. With hammer, right click mouse for menu to repair, upgrade or remove structures like you farm plot.

If you crouch and move in from the side or back of the deer you can kill them much easier with the spear. A head shot will kill them in 1 hit. Also from the last video, the time is displayed at the top of the map screen.

You can buy the seeds in town, but you also need a bag to sow the seeds in a field.
