Ghost of Sparta pretty much answered it, if you went to the temple of the gods (or zeus?) if you spent all the orbs the ground in the middle will life up and take you down to a hole with the shovel which you can unlock the grave digger as a character in the area which he transforms to zeus

It's hard to imagine Atlas doesn't know kratos killed the Gods and titans I bet hes just pissed he cant do anything about it. however if he did find a way to escape his imprisonment it would be AMAZING to see his battle with Kratos and then Kratos could show the boy how he used to kill gods(technically giants lmao) back in his day. also if Kratos goes back to Greece I want him to take Atreus to Sparta. that should be the very first place they go.

It was the first time I was allowed to play a God of War game. I love the game enough I had a copy on my ps3 only about a week after they released it.

Imagine a ragnarok trailer like this - atreus and mimir are out in the woods to get something. Suddenly they feel a powerful quake. They both pause and atreus says 'what was that? " mimir says " I do not know". They feel another one.... And another one. The Camera zooms in on their faces as they see something appear. Atreus says "is that... A giant?" mimir says. I... Don't think so, little brother. That's way bigger than the biggest giant I've ever seen". Atreus says "then what is it?". The Camera moves past them and back to their home door and kratos rushes out to see what the sound is. The camera zooms in kratos face and kratos says "you", then music of atlas plays a little in the background and the screen shows "God of war ragnarok"

I like your theory hell i wana see atlas one more time because in my eyes he is the most powerful titan ranking above all titans. But seeing him back in rangnork for revenge on kratos wont make sense. The relationship of Kratos and Atlas is very strange as first they fight later they call truce. But again if Kratos did kill titans he also promise to kill zues which he did. And I don't see Atlas going on Rampage for revenge as it doesn't have solid background to it. But your theory does give me idea of my theory and that he may come in aid to Kratos, like in rangork he will come and help kratos fight some of norse monsters. But again I doubt he return since Norse itself has so many characters to handle that the studio may not wana go with older characters.

Two major flaws with this theory: 1. Kratos brought the titans forward through time, sparing them from being imprisoned in Tartatus and thereby changing history. Therefore, as of the end of God of War II, Atlas is no longer holding the world on his shoulders (or rather he never was in the first place), and the pillar was never destroyed. 2. As confirmed by Corey Barlog, the Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and all other pantheons exist in entirely different universes. The GOW universe is not a universe, but a multiverse. Kratos crossed over from one universe to the other. Therefore, Altas would have no involvement in Ragnarok as he resides in a completely different plane of existence.

@@tainor89 I'll find the video for you later, but he described it as galaxies. He confirmed that each pantheon controls one. But think about it for a second: the pantheon existing within the same world is extremely problematic. GOW: Ascension confirmed that the GOW world was created the way it was in Greek mythology. Each mythology has it's own creation myth, so how can the Norse exist alongside the Greek? I was troubled by this for a long time and was saying that a multiverse was the ONLY way it could work. I was thrilled when Corey Barlog recently confirmed my theory.

Something you forgot to mention is at the end of God of War 2 Kratos went back in time to assemble the Titans before they were defeated and captured by Zeus. He then brought them back to his time in the present so technically Atlas hasn't been captured and he should have been one of the Titans climbing up Mount Olympus at the start of God of War 3. But unfortunately the creators of that game never put any emphasis on Atlas. Hopefully in the next game they'll clarify some things including how the world serpent was knocked back in time from the future. I think they have to introduce a multiverse at some point otherwise none of this time travel stuff makes any sense

This is a very cool theory. I think that Atlas may join Artemise in a journey to hunt kratos and ally with odin in ragnarok. Atreus's reaction to such a titanic being wouls be priceless considering that the equivalent of titans in the norse mythology is gone (except for atreus).

I wonder if Atlas and the other Titans knew Ymir, the father of the Jotunar. That would make for some pretty interesting lore. Like Ymir and Cronos had a disagreement and he left. Or Ymir betrayed the other Titans to the olympians. I know Greece vs Norse argument, but when you think about about it. The titans were made by primordial beings. So whether it be Norse or greece or even the other pantheons. Each might have had their own take on these primordial entities. Anyway that's my question. Hope to see more videos.

OMG I JUST REALISED THIS The reason the story's of god in Greece always depict things happening years ago is because it's people from rebuilt Olympus reading murals from destroyed Olympus, and they think the gods returned to mount Olympus, and that's why gods don't come back in modern day, but why they don't come back is really because kratos killed the pantheon!

But I think because maybe other Mythologies knew about the downfall of Olympus, a character from Norse dimension came to fight kratos, or maybe convince him to fight the Norse gods (since that person knows about what Kratos did to the Olympians) or something like that idk, and maybe kratos got too tired of fighting, and while unconscious, that 'character' must've took kratos to the Norse dimension. But idk, this is just my theory. Note that in the novel, it says that kratos got his blades and just set off to wonder the universe, well I'm talking about after that event, while he is wondering the universe and then he encounters someone from Norse Mythology. And then when kratos realised he wasn't in Greece anymore, he decided to change and live as a man as he says that in the game to his son. Maybe while Kratos was unconscious and was kept in a secret place in Scandinavia, he might've escaped and found Laufey (Feye). The End!

It would've been cool of in the ending of god of war after kratos dies atlas becomes the narrator and narrates that there was no hope let for him so he let go of the world and it shows us atlast letting go of the world as he narrates all that and we see cracks appearing beneath Kratos body and kratos falls to his death but it just so happens that there are multiple pillers so the piller atlast was cursed to hold was below olympus so only olympus falls but the other cities still survive while where there used to be a mountain of the gods is now a crator of destruction kind like the abyss from made in abyss it wouldve been cool

As long as there isn't a confirmed, official death for any specific character back in Greece it's always a possibility. Cory did say all the gods are dead... But... Last I checked we hadn't seen Artemis since the first god of war. And there's so many others aside from gods who have not had any official death or even a mention of in game. I don't think they should ever completely steer away from Greek mythos, not in a good while longer that is. I have a feeling Kratos being who he was has more than a few loose ends left untied in Greece and that sill come back to haunt him literally as well as figuratively. Even without considering key figures such as the gods there will be surviving inhabitants there that will be all too aware of Kratos being responsible and wanting to go after him. So it would make no sense to not see anyone from Greece come after Kratos. There's Atlas, Atemis, that one mysterious character from the mobile game, any lesser known gods who had not faced Kratos in game or had their unofficial death mentioned. There are those who for all we know could have been one of the random humans that would be found running around in to any of the games. There's still plenty of Greek mythos that can be used while shifting focus to another mythology. Plus it would make sense anyway and I think would be great for a Ragnarok taking place in the God of War series.

Certainly he is alive because Gaia's corpse killed all of Olympian gods who were alive ,with zeus destroyed Olympus was in a complete disarray none of Olympians survived while titans who came from past were dead too along with gaia ,while atlas and Kronos who were already captured by then at past when Kratos tried to save them remained captured in New timeline too so ,in gow 3 probably all titans which were either alive or not captured at the time Kratos saved them were all killed at the end of gow 3 but the titans who were captured at the time Kratos saved then like atlas and cronos were held there and in future remained chained to their torment in pits of tartarus while cronos was killed but atlas was alive

One way or another Odin is going to be a bigger threat to Kratos than Zeus was. Zeus was probably more powerful in a "direct" sense. But Odin is much more Clever, and is likely nearly as powerful. Not only that but he has a very good relationship with Thor who (in all likelyhood) may be the Norse equivalent to Kratos himself. The difference is Thor enjoys his status as Odins greatest fighter, and they work well together with each other and their god family. To be honest Zeus was far stronger than Kratos, and the only reasons Kratos (in game) prevailed was because he had the power of Hope and Athena and titans helping him (at first) He had a whole ass army of Titans, the Blade of Olympus, and his massive collection of powers given to him and weapons he took from other gods on top of that. And he still almost lost to Zeus at the beggining and the end of GoW 3 He does not have the same advantages then, even if in this Reboot that he is stronger than his younger self. Which we still havent really seen evidence of.

Plz make a video on the strongest Frost giant Starkaor. He is the brother of Surtr. And he was the biggest threat to the Aesir gods , even Thor feared him and never fought him alone. He had 8 arms and had a strength and skill stronger than that of Surtr. He is stronger than Jormungandr and to take him down , a tough fight was waged and even the combined armies of Midgard and Asgard weren't able to take him down. When the Vanir forces joined Asgardian and Midgard forces , then after very tough fight , Starkaor was finally severly injured and surrendered. Then Thor attacked him and without Mjolnir , he stripped all Starkaor's 6 arms of and then Starkaor finally died. Just like to kill Surtr , Thor , Odin and all gods had to work together , therefore to kill Starkaor , they had to work together.

Techically there should be an egyptian god of war yet before Atlas destroys the Earth. There are still some greek gods that are still alive and in greek mythology, whenever the greek gods faced a difficult opponent such as typhoon or the titans. Then some of them retreated to egypt 🤔✌😉
