I'm a man from Liverpool, around the same age a Karl and it really worries me how many similarities there are between my own and Karl's life. The estate, the neighbours, the paper round, the holidays, family and education. I thought I was reasonably normal as a child until Karl recounts like for like stories from his own youth and I'm cringing more than laughing. I don't think my brain kicked into gear until I was in my 20s.

Thank you.. it took a hell of a lot of time to put it together, the whole thing that Karl turns to a child when he talks about his childhood was something that took ages. :) I've got complaints on the scratch sound in the insults compilations as well.. it's hard to know what sound to use, the sound in this one is kind of similar to the rewind sound Karl put in the xfm clip shows himself...

themightyapefish The editing is excellent, so it truly is hard to complain; but I happen to agree that the scratching noise is a tad abrasive, for some of the listening purposes of this video. Being that this is a compilation, and is quite long, you need to assume that people will listen to it in-order to relax, or even to fall asleep. (I, for one, enjoy falling asleep to unending dialogue, sometimes.) The scratching noise slightly detracts from this option and gives too much of a punch-line effect after each segment, (emphasis on the word ‘punch’). But again I’m not complaining as this is excellent.
