Here is a list of medicines that will raise your blood sugar without your knowledge or your permission. Most patients and many doctors don't realize that taking one of these pills can raise your blood glucose to unhealthy levels. After a decade of taking these types of medications, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not sick. I’m medicated. 🤪 I’m off of ALL of them. So far, I have lost 34 Lbs & keep getting healthier.

Thanks for posting. Your post is encouraging to me as having some struggles. I am almost off all mine with my doctors help, changes in diet, education, supplements and getting more active. Have lost only 12 lbs but at least 2 dress sizes in the last 45 days, since working on keto type format. Still working things out. Hats off to Dr. Berry & others for their invaluable help. Cheers

@@lanettek8545 I just got my cholesterol results 6 days ago. Just to let you know, they are not good, but I don’t care. I’m taking my chances b/c these prescriptions cause weight gain and the key to a healthier body IS weight loss. Doctors prescribe medicines b/c the benefits out-way the side effects, but I don’t believe that that is true. Ten years of these medication cocktails and my health became worse! I’m healthier today b/c my A1C is back to a normal range with just a 36 pound weight loss and I still have 86 pounds to go. I can only expect that my health will only improve as I continue to lose weight and stay off their medications. I hope that this is helpful:)

My husband started watching you as soon as we came home in November after being diagnosed with diabetes with a 12.3 A1c and sugar was 340 the morning he went in for a triple bypass. He has been eating as close to carnivore as he can , I do fix good vegetables for him . Day before yesterday at the endocrinologist his A1c was 5.5 , she was floored. She said she couldn’t tell him anything, she needed him to teach a class. I told her he follows you and ketovore works. She had never seen such a reversal. He is starting to back off of his metformin and if he continues to maintain should be free of his medicine in three months. We start our mornings watching your videos and searching recipes. It is a life changer that gives hope and makes life livable.

My Dad fought to keep his diabetes under control for several years while following a essentially a meat and vegetable diet, but it never made any difference, and his doctor figured he was eating high carb/high sugar regardless of what he said. After seeing this video I realize that he was prescribed most of these meds that are mentioned which were keeping his numbers high. The nerve damage he suffered eventually took over his legs and eyes and IMO caused an early death. Doctors should be held liable for not knowing the potential effects of medications they so easily hand out to their patients.

Information on prescription drugs is available in the _Physician's Desk Reference,_ of which most doctors have a copy in their office. This is the same information that is contained in the insert that comes with the drug bottles, but many pharmacies remove before handing the drugs over to the customer. I always ask for the insert to be included. If the insert is missing, one can still get the same information online. I've caught my physician on occasion prescribing drugs that can have unacceptably serious side effects or interactions just by reading the drug data.

Dr wants my a1c to be 7 not below and the dietician told me to have 45 gas of carbs for all three meals. Every time the answer was you need more insulin. I found your channel and went on Keto and stopped taking the insulin. After 7 months I am down in weight from 245 to 185. I am 6 feet tall and 67 years old. My blood sugar has gone from 280 to 150 and I hit a wall. I am also on lipitor and lisinopril and metropitol . I am stopping these because they are probably why I can't get NY sugars under control. I have moved over to KETO and intermittent fasting and found some odd increases in blood sugar when I take my Lipitor……..I have lost weight, I am almost off insulin, no more joint and muscle pain, and feeling great. I will ask my doctor for alternatives to the Stanton. Thanks for another great video! You have changed my life!

Super interesting. Would love to know how these meds raise the sugars and are some people worse off than others with the sugar elevations. Do the drug makers know this is happening? Are any drug makers working in trying to reduce the sugar raising effects w/o compromising the drug's original effectiveness / purpose? That list you provided explains SO much!!!

I have been strict keto mainly (meat or eggs and some broccoli or cauliflower) and can not get into ketosis now I understand why. I am on 5 of these you listed. In tears ! I wish you were my doctor. Where is your office? I live in Jackson, Tennessee. It maybe worth my drive. Thank you for this valuable information Doctor Berry. I love you and your wife. I watch her channel too! ❤

You can't get into ketosis because of broccoli and cauliflower and the other stuff you eat you have to go strictly carnavoir for a few weeks to get all sugar out if body that's stored in liver so liver can make ketones

@@rtanbarter8739 I got into ketosis a few years back eating mostly meat and a little vegetables but was not on the meds I am on now. I lost weight 80 pounds in 6 months. But I quit and that was a mistake. A friend talked me into trying the vegan diet nearly killed me within six months. I was in so much pain I could barely walk, due to inflammation. So I am trying to get back where I was but I need some med. changes I believe. However thanks for the advice, I may try carnivore for awhile.

Try carnivore first as Phase 1with 2 greens for some fiber. Take electrolyte so you dont have keto flu. After major loss then introduce nonstarchy veggies. Try to taper off the meds under doc supervision. Food Luck!

Just tried to read the full list but the link doesn't seem to work. I personally am taking Ramapril and Empagliflozin, so I just wanted to check if either of these are on the list. Keep up the great work you are doing keeping us informed. I find that especially here in the UK our doctors are of the opinion that we the patient. Either don't need to know or don't deserve to know and some are even rudely obstructive if we ask to many questions.

I am glad I watched this. Even though I am not eating sugar, and trying hard to limit my carbs, I noticed my glucose was high on two blood tests. First problem is I didn't know I couldn't have Splenda. (Really disappointed about that) Second, I had been taking Metoprolol for SVT. I had a second heart ablation for that and my heart doctor said I could go off of it, but when I tried I would still get flutters. I had been off it for a week or two. Yesterday I ended up going to the hospital with what I believe was another SVT episode, but by the time I got there it had converted & everything started to go back to normal except my glucose was 147. (Might have been the previous day's Splenda. Or the fact that I had high anxiety, and the adrenaline kicked in bad! Shaking like I was freezing.) when I came home I took a half dose (50mg) and I didn't have an episode. But the heart doctor is booked into July and the office was supposed to call me for a follow up, and didn't. I guess until I can talk to someone at the heart office my glucose will be high... The good news is my triclyercides have plummeted, HDL is normal, and on the whole most stuff showed up in a normal range. Only about six weeks on the Keto.

This is an eye opener for sure. Before I go running off to either my pharmacist or try randomly searching the internet, is there (can you direct me and others to) at least one or more online sites/locations where I/we can search our own specific medications to see if they contribute to raising blood sugar? Much appreciated.

My doctor put me on a statin. I was constantly hungry & I was gaining weight despite suffering through the hunger pangs. I told her I couldn’t stand it & asked her to take me off. She said that this is not a common side effect, but now I see why this happens.

HCTZ is the number one pill that Doctors give Black people for high blood pressure, that's why so many Blacks have Diabetes. They're other blood pressure pills that won't raise blood sugar.
