I like the way they disguise only the bumper, as if that’s going to prevent people from seeing what the pre production car looks like. 🤣 Very comprehensive review, as always.

Great review Nobby as ever, it's a fabulous looking thing but one thing I did notice was the noise on the gravelly road which wasn't great. I know not all roads are like that but I'd hate to see what it was like from a noise point of view on a bumpy road. I know they're preproduction cats also and I think it's possible we'll get the non plug in hybrid in the North here so it'll be interesting to see what the prices will be like.

I love the contrasting pillar on some of the color combinations but having a solid color is also great too this is a very masculine looking car it's sporty and actually it's kind of sexy love it love it love it way way way better than the original Niro.

Carwow uk are offering a Kia Niro 3 FOR £38,645 That includes £900 for the optional heat pump. With no cost paint option.

In the static presentation, a cockpit view was shown with a horizon and weather view, which was not shown here at all. With which setting do you have this cockpit view, no video says anything about it? It doesn't appear in most videos anymore, is it something only the prototype has?

Worth noting I believe there were never different specs in Ireland, just two different battery sizes. (i.e. we never got K1, K3, etc. - any of those in Ireland are imports). I'm also surprised to hear you say the boot is "ID.3 sized" - it's meant to be 20% larger (450 versus 380) so that's interesting in itself. 20% should be noticeable enough in size... I'm still not sure it's worth the predicted price: it's largely the same battery and motor so only a re-skin on top? I'd think the price not be matching what it was before, or even dropping due to efficiencies, etc. Of course, Kia will say the current supply-chain challenges, but it really seems like they're going to push a high price just because....

When the MG ZS EV came out everyone slated it because the charging port was in 'nose' . Yet several new EV's have copied this, and MG moved their's? Nobby like the content you and Bob put up, you work well together - it would be fun to see you two doing a 'Road Trip' video. speak to Bob about please. That rear quarter is esoteric, not going to be everyone's taste and may affect residual if you choose wrong colour option, or are they all that silver colour?

Good review but not sure why the constant comparison with the EV6 when it is a direct replacement for the e-Niro.

Because the price is very close here in Ireland... viewers might be seriously considering walking the extra money into an Earth EV6.

Good review Nobby. 17kwh/100km isn’t very good efficiency IMO. I was getting far better than that today in my 2020 SoulEV 64, that was with two full size adults in the front - around 12KWh/100Km I’m in Glasgow, it was dry, (at the time) and a little, but not much, warmer than 11 degrees. Not a bad looking car, but it seems to be about £7k more (by your estimation) than my SoulEV and I don’t think it is worth the extra, despite the nicer Infotainment system.

Real shame they didn’t retain more of the HabaNiro styling. End result is a bit dull, especially in the single colour trim levels. Tech seems a little dated for a new model.

@@nerfpaul2497 It's going to be on the eGMP platform, so will have 800volt charging. While the new Niro looks great overall, I'd like the possibility of higher speed charging. Especially with the limited charging possibilities on a run down the country. (In Ireland, anyway!) In looks, EV4 is similar enough to Niro, though without the colour panel C-pillar.

I've got a kia ev taxi on the grant motor is starting to fail. back passengers door rubber is warn away seat belts don't retract back and catch in the door damaging the paint work.... kia ireland will not fix the door rubber or fix damage from SEATBELTS....
