Wrestling will not only put you in the best shape of your life but will give you tools that no other sport can give you. Accountability,teamwork,and from the outside looking in-there's nothing you can blame a match on- bad pass, block etc. It's all on your hard work and attitude. I still use core values an discipline from many yrs in the sport today. Thanks for the great videos
@danielniels22 Жыл бұрын
i don't see how the teamwork in here is...
@EXISTENTIALization11 ай бұрын
@nielscassius3875 There's teamwork in the sense that you're working with your teammates on the moves you're taught in order to master them. You're also having teamwork in terms of pushing each other in tough workouts and in sparing. It's all behind the scenes, but wrestling is, in a sense, a "team sport" where you compete individually. You also win/lose as a team depending on the points you get from winning/losing from top to bottom weight classes.

@SUTHRLND I think that technically...you're not allowed to do any throws that involve tossing your opponent over your shoulders. technically, since you're following through and landing on the mat with your opponent...you're not throwing him over your shoulders....so I'm pretty sure it's valid.

Your coach should be having your team stand on your heads with your feat on the ground and stretching and spinning...
@TheRealValorNation10 жыл бұрын
you should definitely have your coach do back bridges. A back bridge is basically lie on your back first, lift your legs and back into the air and make sure to arch your back and have your head on the mat, sometimes we move left and right in that position. Usually hold it from 20-40 seconds

How long does it take for the guy who's being tossed around like that to loose his fear of flying backwards and falling? Kinda silly question, I know, but I'm wondering. I've started training pretty late in life, and it's been some 4 years now, but still I have that weird feeling when someone does this to me. And I hesitate to throw my training partners for the same reason. Except on the competitions where you gotta do what you gotta do.
@KOLATCOM8 жыл бұрын
+ovo nisamja You need to drill back arches without a partner on a crash mat for 50 reps a day for a month and then begin to drill it with a partner on a crash mat for 30 more days you should begin to feel comfortable. It is all about muscle memory and unless you drill a move thousands of times it will not feel natural no matter what the position.

I was afraid of an answer like that. Thnx for the kind reply. I'll drill this as much as possible than.
