👍👍👍 One step before fully going down/flat on the ground : From full plank going down and resting the chest on a 'tall' narrow firm pillow or a 'tall' narrow hard object covered with a folded mat/beach towel (a taped shoe box filled with papers/old magazines works ok). 'Resting' but not releasing the tension 100%, good core effort, not thinking it's 'cheating'. 5/6 reps max with zero stop when up or a 'stop and chest push more while exhaling everything' the last 2 reps. Can also be used between the warm up and the longer series of kneeled/complete push ups. A little bit easier on the shoulders. One variation to help with arm strength is to gently but firmly 'lock' the shoulders in neutral or a bit projected forward, 'pulling' them towards the feet too, with the arms touching the body. Nice elongated neck, nothing 'blocked'. Simply let the elbows flex slowly to go down a bit, stop for 1/2 seconds max (or add a breathing cycle), then concentrate on 'pure' triceps strength to slowly elevate the entire planked body. The sensation should be to do a half push up or even less (even though checking on video confirms it's 90°/a right angle or a bit more at the elbows most of the time). 3/4 reps. or even 2 with a perfect plank form. Another variation for arm strength is to do planks (inclined or on the ground) with the elbows close to the body, selecting a random comfortable small to medium elbow flex and breathing deeply. Maintain for 20 seconds minimum. Triceps should burn a bit and the plank form should be perfect. Have an wonderful week, K! 😊 _

Nice illustration. BTW how many push-ups can you do in a single workout?

Full Pushups on my toes? Not many, about 10. Upper body strength doesn't come easily to me. I can do all the other variations at much higher rep ranges, say 10-16 reps with 3 sets.
