Heh. Never heard of this. It's not bad, not great. Pretty underground even in the realm of underground hip-hop, but there's a ton of better "underground" music just in California alone. Acts like The Liks, Pharcyde, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Living Legends, Heiroglyphics, I could go on and on and on. There's a California DJ crew called the Beat Junkies and they put out these great albums/compilations in the 90s called The World Famous Beat Junkies Vol. 1-3 that really encompass this sound. They feature music from across the country, but it's very much this same underground sound. They are out of print, but available on youtube. Old kids is another track I find myself replaying over and over. Got both CDs and the 7 inch of lazy daze, good stuff. Loved the mid 2000s era of hip hop.
