This song was literally a song full of punchlines and metaphors, Wayne's ability to produce that is something even Eminem along with the rest of Hip Hop, including the OG 80's generation praises him for. Wordplay is something Wayne is a master at & is known as one of the best to ever do it.

@@zacharyspiker8090 His music does not embody the traditional hip-hop lyrics and flow. By traditional i mean lyrics with wit and their importance. In those artists that you stated, the one thing they had in common was bash trash rappers for their lyrics. Lil wayne is just not a hip hop artist imo. Id say he’s more of a pop person like Drake. J-cole, joey bad ass, capital steez, etc., all have those hip hop traits because their lyrics combined with their instrumentals all make them great and embody hip hop. I’ve never heard of those greats acclaim lil wayne. Most listeners despise him much like they despise lil pump, lil yachty, 69, lil baby, kodak black etc. That doesn’t mean they don’t make appealing music but it’s certainly not hip hop. You could argue it’s a sub-genere but id say it’s an awful sub-genre.

I suggest y’all do research on the genre in general and also the artists before y’all decide to make a profound judgement off of one song bc according to anybody who actually knows hip hop not one soul would compare Lil Wayne to Ja rule cuz all know that Lil Wayne is a legend of the game who deserves all the respect in the world for all his contributions to the game.... his style is that which requires that one must see & listen closely to the lyrics to actually appreciate his brand which is of course being a lyrical genius...

ppl are pointing out that their view of this songs is very skewed because they Cleary do not understand the lyrics and haven't listened to rap long enough to even understand the double and triple meanings. The way Wayne plays with words is unmatched. They are still thinking all rap songs are like traditional songs with structure. This song is a showcase of skill. The lyrics are literally riddles. Real G's move in silence like Lasagna is still one of the greatest play on words in rap history. Wayne used 7 words to say something that would require at least 3 sentences to explain and that's what makes him a lyrical genius.

It is not so effortless to create great rhymes but he still improving unbelievable others can look at an artist and not like their style and judge his whole being of that thinking he is not great all because of his looks so so judgmental not even practical analysis of a song that demonstrate lil Wayne's talent.
