I’ve never had a bad experience with him. I’d never met a black journalist before him. Those are my personal experiences with Whitlock. It’s not just what I heard someone say about him. Everything about Whitlock was on display with the Lavar Ball thing, when Leahy got dragged by a radio show (The Breakfast Club), and Fox got Whitlock to stand up to the big bad mean blk guy on the radio on her behalf. I was offered a scholarship playing outside in a park by myself. It can happen in basketball, other team sports a little different. If you are good, recruiters will bring you in (at least for a try-out) no matter where they seen you play.
