Definitely wanted to hear Jemele’s take on this. Agree with everything she said. When I saw Whitlock’s name was connected to ‘The Undefeated,’ I wasn’t interested. Skipper was trippin.’

Sage Steele and Jason Whitlock. Two peas in a pod. I mean, he needs a million pods put together for himself, but you get what I mean.

Whitlock spoke truth and people can’t stand it. He’s been calling out bs for years but people get butt-hurt because they don’t want to correct themselves. It’s really sad.

@@imaginethat3026 that’s hard to believe given Whitlock’s resume & given the state of ESPN over the past decade or so. This all seems political to me. I’m not swayed by feeling & hearsay. I look at the evidence and facts. Whitlock is on the Blaze and still relevant when most people’s career would have ended.

@@MrRight-ft9ep Whitlock's resume? He's been fired from every job he had. Hearsay? You havent worked with personally whereas my friend did. Him working at the Blaze isnt impressive since its not a sports related network. His former collegues in this video still work in the industry after decades.
@MrRight-ft9ep9 ай бұрын
@@imaginethat3026 You’re not disproving my point or anything I’ve mentioned. I don’t operate on hearsay. You just keep saying “My colleague” without saying, “My experiences with Whitlock”. How can you allow someone else to guide your opinion of someone without dealing with them yourself? I met Whitlock as a kid when he was working for the Charlotte Observer. I’ve never had a bad experience with him. I’d never met a black journalist before him. Those are my personal experiences with Whitlock. It’s not just what I heard someone say about him. I’m not here to attack him or SAS. I’m here to hear SAS rebuttal about the story he told. The Truth. Politics can go to hell! I can’t trust you if you’re spewing politics.

Everything about Whitlock was on display with the Lavar Ball thing, when Leahy got dragged by a radio show (The Breakfast Club), and Fox got Whitlock to stand up to the big bad mean blk guy on the radio on her behalf. And it resulted in Whitlock being dragged on that show too lol. BUT... to show how fickle and fake a lot of media personalities were, Charlemagne The God last week was nonchalant about the Stephen A., Whitlock stuff. Weird.

The foolishness surrounding Whitlock's "recruiting" process for The Undefeated is legendary amongst journalists. The absolute opposite of what The Undefeated was supposed to be, was happening because you had the absolute opposite of who you want guiding the process. There's no way ESPN wanted The Undefeated to work with the hiring of That Fat Piece of...

I was offered a scholarship playing outside in a park by myself. It can happen in basketball, other team sports a little different. If you are good, recruiters will bring you in (at least for a try-out) no matter where they seen you play.
