Annie's story is so heartbreaking. I know there are a lot of made up stories on Reddit, and for once I hope this is one of them. However, even if it is, it doesn't make it any less sad (especially since these incidents aren't uncommon, sadly) Also, after listening, I finally connected the dots what the last story had to do with the sleep-over theme. The aunt and grandmother had a fake sleep over in order to make that phony doctor's appointment. How these two didn't face any justice for what happened to Cody...well, there's a special place in hell for people like these...
@PsychGirlRaven

Y’all are quick to mention hell. Hell is fictional. We need to start protecting our kids in LIFE, not hoping for some fake justice after death.
@dannyboy6815
@dannyboy6815 Жыл бұрын
@@PsychGirlRaven no it certainly is real. It’s just not how most people think it is. Just like there is a devil, and there is God. People who work in darkness will have their work exposed to the light. They will face justice in the next life. No matter much you deny it, the truth is the truth no matter what.

It does make sense that with things one cannot prove nor disprove, that it's not labeled fictional. Where would we be if Science did that? That being said, were someone to attempt to harm my children in such a way, I would not be waiting for that villain's previously scheduled assignment to Hell, I would be sending them there with an Express ticket. Ironically, should that sin of Judgment end me up in the same destination, I'm sure there'd be a paradox because I'm fairly certain it would not be a punishment for me to harm that bastard repeatedly into eternity.

@Esther.Inferno-dc6zd
@Esther.Inferno-dc6zd Жыл бұрын
I've been married for over twenty years, it takes forgiveness, realistic expectations, and loyalty for a marriage to work, faith is a prerequisite, otherwise your vow, means nothing. If you're going to have children then one of you needs to work at home, with the children, and live within your means. Having children is difficult, it's been idealized, and parents who are honest about it's messiness, and lack of return, after spending a fortune, are shouted Down, silenced by those who've never even had a child, or those who had much support, and resources to do the job. Tragedy, and it's accompanying circumstances aren't spoken of. Divorce, Sickness, death, and it's accompanying consequences are a real issue because everyone around those experiencing these problems, flee like rats escaping a sinking ship. Total positivity, a lack of accountability, a lack of belief, or faith, in anything higher, has made our society almost completely mercenary. It's every man for himself on a sinking ship, you see this in just about every country now. Our nations children need support from every sector, especially when things go wrong. Gutting a parents rights, is not the answer, neither is ignoring children's abuse. We have to have realistic expectations of a families home, and when things go wrong, offer support, resources, and practical solutions without children, or their parents becoming victims of a callous society looking to further its own mercenary motives. Poverty, sickness, and death creates problems that a community absolutely can help with. It's a matter of having compassion, and empathy, without judgement at first, providing practical solutions. You don't give up on a family, and take the children, that should only happen, if there is physical, and sexual abuse going on. This must be proven. These things require an investigation, with an organization that hasn't been proven to be utterly corrupted.

@@Esther.Inferno-dc6zdI’m going to go ahead and inform you that believing in God has nothing to do with a happy marriage. I know plenty of older folks who’ve been married for 20-40 years, some being gay couples, and have the most respectful and caring relationships I’ve ever seen. My husband and I have no belief in any higher power and have been happily married for over 10 years. Please keep your beliefs to yourself, thanks.

They tell us we need to protect our children’s innocence. Teaching them about sex does not take away their innocence, people like Annie’s stepdad do. If we teach the kids what SA is and how important it is to talk about it… maybe more children’s innocence will be protected.

I listen to so many of these stories, that one day when I was at work a man walked in, big/husky wearing leather like bikers do. Arms covered in tattoos and a hefty beard. Just like a biker I swear. he was very adamant and lingering when he had no business being there. Just staring at me intensely while leaning over the counter not breaking eye contact. I honestly labeled a situation that I was about to be shot, or he’ll pull out a gun or weapon any moment now or strangle me. My mind is creative…My heart literally left my body as I felt fear take over. 5 mins later of weird vibes and stares and him demanding to know things about dogs in the back when he was not an owner. His mother popped in and told him it’s time to go. It turns out he’s…on the autism spectrum. I’ve felt so awful and guilty..but also super relieved he wasn’t a threat. Sorry random guy…I’m sure it’s hard whenever you go with people misunderstanding you. But you’re so intimidating 😭

I have a story like that but it has a bit of karma basically My dad once made the mistake of punishing my non verbal autistic cousin with a belt while screaming at her due to her wetting herself and not getting to the potty in time and well basically when my aunt came to pick up my cousin and found out from my brother who was 12 or 13 at the time why my cousin was crying and had bruises on her legs my aunt proceeds to tell my brother to take my cousin and wait in the car with her before proceeding to beat my father to within an inch of his life leaving him in hospital for 4 or 5 weeks with a collapsed lung two broken legs one broken arm a broken nose a fractured skull and a black eye my mom immediately threw him out after that incident and I was only allowed to see him on weekends but with either a social worker or my uncle supervising him
